Victorinox Swiss Champ medium pocket knife with 33 functions When you say Swiss Army Knife, you probably think of the legendary officer's knife. First off, our family respects this brand. We continually repurchase knives by this brand. My husband had lost this knife shown in the picture, so I purchased him the exact same one. Obviously, we found it. I put it in the back in case we need it. I also upgraded our young boys with a new Swiss knife to be gifted to them soon. I previously purchased the most simple option with scissors and no actual knife blade. They’ve responsibly and proudly kept up with their “knives” for over a year. I am excited to gift our boys their new one with an actual knife blade. I highly recommend this brand for quality and durability! This truly is a phenomenal brand built to last!

Very good quality, and very usable. Definitely the pocket knife to carry daily for most small jobs you encounter while living your life. I have found it to be the perfect platform for on the farm and traveling. I have had swiss army knives before and they are amazing for the money. Would definitely encourage friends to buy and carry one. The swiss knives I had in the past I gave away and regretting it, which is why I bought this one, and this time got the champ, before I had one with much fewer functions, this one is not going anywhere, it is a keeper and everyone else will have to get their own. If I give one away it will be ordered for that purpose for now on.

This is definitely one of the best knives I own. It's not to big and bulky. I can carry it in my pocket, has well has a pen pouch. It has everything that I could possibly need. I also have a few Leatherman knives, but always go back to my swiss army knives. I will no longer buy any of my knives from anyone but Swiss Army Knives. Thank you for the great Customer Service.👍

I've had a trusty Victorinox Recruit as an EDC for over 10 years since I received it as a gift from work. I recently treated myself to a new SwissChamp, and I have to say it is liberating with all the tools I have at the tip of my fingers!I love my Swiss Champ. It has almost every useful tool you will ever need in daily life and outdoors, in such a compact, well thought out, and quality package, it's absolutely brilliant! The only limitation is your imagination with the tasks you can accomplish with it. I actually like the size, as it gives you a substantial and comfortable grip when cutting with the main blade. For carry, it fits perfectly in the coin pocket of all my jeans, can't feel the knife in my jeans, and I forget it's even there. I especially find useful ... I especially find useful the magnifier, pressurized ball point, and scale in cm and inches. Use it all the time. It inspires confidence you will always have the tool you need for any circumstance that should arise. The only thing I wish for is a lockable main blade. I know a locking blade would prohibit the Swiss Champ in certain countries like the UK, but it would add to it's brilliance if Victorinox could offer the Swiss Champ in an optional S model (Swiss ChampS) with a locking main blade. That would be absolute perfection for me.
So the silvertech model does not come with neither the pen which I don't really care for since I carry a pen wallet, and no pin, strangely enough though the slot is there for it, so you could always just get your own and store it there. I don't understand the choice of not including the pin, but regardless I still love this model. Looking at it in pictures it looks terrible, but I decided to see a video and it looks far, far better in real life. Other than those 3 things you can expect the same quality, craftsmanship, and reliability that Victorinox is known for, and I would highly recommend this product that I would buy again in a heartbeat if I had somehow misplaced it.
Look the XXL is okay as a knife. But it's not a new model, it's simply the XAVT without the screen, that's all. Victorinox needs to design something much more interesting. 72 functions is a weird number. We need a model with 100 functions. Also, the plain red scales are a bit dated and we need different scales on the XXL to make it stand out.Packaging would have only cost 2 Swiss francs to make. Just a cheap cardboard box with foam insert and XXL written in white on a light grey background, so the model name doesn't really stand out. The cardboard packaging is Swiss made, whereas the watch box packaging was Made in China. Your biggest model XXL needs better thought out packaging, and your project team needs to redesign the XXL.A secret source at Victorinox has ... MoreLook the XXL is okay as a knife. It's certainly not a model for knife collectors as it is presented to the consumer in a cheap cardboard box.In the Victorinox reviews, the XXL, if it was any good, would be getting 5 stars. It gets a lot of one and two stars, very disappointed ☹️
I don't understand, with so many items, why Victorinox double up on the tools just to add to the number? I mean do we really need TWO hooks? or two knifes of the same size? a couple of awls, why? Isn't the Metal File and the Nail file the same one? i like a Champ with completely different Items in it. As for the Packaging , it baffles my mind the people who complain about packaging. I mean are you really going to use the packaging or are you going to toss it in the garbage after you receive the knife? Who cares about Packaging as long as the knife is good. If they start putting all this money into packaging WHO do you think will have to pay for it? YES us, the people who actually USE our knifes and don't just place them on display like a trinket. SWISS CHAMP, best pocket knife money can buy! Have them everywhere in fear of being without one when needed, etc. Have given many of them as gifts, theyre always highly appreciated!! Pen, tweezers, magnifying glass, scissors, pliers..thats what Im talking about!!! Also, wouldnt be without the essential companion Swiss Army Victorinox Zermatt XL Pouch w/sharpening seel, ( Swiss Army part number 4109918XL ) which the Swiss Champ fits into perfectly! The steel sharpener(honing only) stays put and never falls out. For some reason, these days theyre extremely difficult to find, and are rare, they cost around $20 . Included is a photo posted of my 1st Swiss Champ & Pouch which now is 41 yrs. old, use it all the time!
New Model XXL.Cannot understand why Victorinox has discontinued the XAVT. The "New" Replacement, the XXL with plain red scales has 7 less functions compared to the XAVT. Victorinox obviously now does not feel that electronic parts should be on a Swiss Penknife ? Not very exciting this new model, looks like tools are duplicated when you look at the photos ? Is the presentation box it comes in, Made in China ? If so, it should be Made in Switzerland, like the knife ?? The grey cardboard boxes you use for the Swiss Champ etc are Swiss Made. The XAVT was a much better, more interesting collectors knife. Why is the XXL 120CHF cheaper than the XAVT ?? The XAVT was CHF 449 and the New model XXL is only CHF 329. Victorinox has taken a step back ?? How many months did it ... MoreNew Model XXL.Cannot understand why Victorinox has discontinued the XAVT. How many months did it take Victorinox to design the XXL ?? Has Victorinox made a Leather Pouch to fit the new XXL ?? Check out the Internet on various Knife Forums, the XXL is not getting good feedback. Will the XLT be the next knife to discontinue ? Why does the XXL have normal red scales. Transparent red or Silver or plain green or plain black would have been a different or more interesting choice for the scales ?
The knife is as expected.... The top of the line 91mm model with almost all the tools Victorinox has to offer. HOWEVER, the packaging is now a simple cardboard box!!!! The earlier XXL and discontinued XAVT came in a presentation flip open box like one would get with a good watch. That Victorinox can ship their flagship model in such unflattering packaging is beyond my understanding and very disappointing. My online vendor neglected to change the photo; otherwise I may very well not have made this very expensive purchase... It appears that the XAVT Leather Case is also discontinued as it is not listed on this website, so I don't really know what to keep this monster in, but it certainly won't be a crappy cardboard box....Victorinox sollte sich schämen, sein ...
