Great product keeps the sand colic away
It is used to prevent sand buildup in horses stomach and therefore prevents sand colic.
Added to horse's feed 3 to 4 times a week to help keep sand colic at bay. So far so good. After losing a horse to sand colic, I have been using Equilax now for 5 years.
We are in Qld and had issues when our paddocks were bare with the horses inadvertently ingesting sand/dirt one in particular got sand colic that had toe be treated by a vet. I know it's a bit pricey but worth it as it is a lot easy to use in a pellet form rather than straight psyllium husk. I have 4 horses and they all happily eat this in their meal so I would say it is quite palatable. It was great in clearing the sand from their bellies to avoid another round of colic and I still use this weekly to keep on top of it even though we have grass at the moment.
This is a great product. There's no need to worry about the horse sieving it out and leaving it behind They will eat it from your hand it's that good.
