During Melbourne's long-haul lockdown, my wife and I installed these commercial rubber tiles within a 3.5x4.2 space in our apartment. Due to the area, it did smell like rubber for a good long month. They are pretty easy to cut down to shape/size for cornering with a Stanley knife; make sure to keep your offcuts and cut smaller pieces to size as the tiles are not perfectly 1m x 1m. As always, buying from Gym and Fitness has always been a breeze.

The tiles are very good quality. Unfortunately, there seems to have been a mishap during transit. The original timber pallet has broken and was supplemented by a second pallet beneath it. Apparently this mishap caused the two bottom tiles to be bent back on themselves, resulting in fractures along the full width of the tiles approximately 300mm from the edge of one and 100mm from the edge of the other. The tiles have not yet been laid so I’m not sure if it will be possible to use them along an edge of the room and trim the affected tile. It may not be possible, depending on the dimensions of the room…laying will take place on Friday.

Easy layed onto top of concrete. Strong and durable, very difficult to cut with a very sharp knife. Doesn't soak a spillage of water. Can feel the padding under your feet. Dropping the side of a steel 20kg plate from waste height doesn't effect the mat. Dropping rubber dumbbells from waste height onto mats has next to no bounce. Easy to wheel equipment around. Lays flat, no raised edges or corners, mats are heavy, when layed, not all straight edges marry up, biggest one out by about 5mm however, some edges have closed gap since been layed.

These tiles are great: they're thick and heavy, and aren't at all likely to slip. They also cut to size very easily and very cleanly. However, they don't align perfectly so you will see small gaps through the tiles to the floor underneath, and when I was cutting a few to size I noticed that some are 1000mm wide (as they should be) but some are 999mm and some are 1001mm. Might not sound like much but means that the tiles cannot be perfectly aligned.
I hesitated on whether to spring for what seemed to be one of the top rubber tiles in the market, or some of the cheaper options out there for my garage gym. No regrets on choosing to go with the Versafit - they’re dense, heavy and solid, so no slipping or joining tape required. Looks great (got the red flecks) and no odour which is also a plus.Fantastic customer service, especially in this pandemic times. First order one of the tiles was not delivered (courier’s fault). Contacted their customer service, who facilitated the whole process (I ordered more tiles after the first order because I was very happy with them), and it arrived within 2 days from QLD to VIC. Kudos to their team!
As per other reviews, you cannot fault the quality of these tiles. These are additional ones to sit alongside ones ive had for years. However, they aren't always exactly 1m x 1m and small variances either longer or shorter have meant it is difficult to get a nice tight fit when you have 6m x 4m of the same tile. But that's the only thing stopping it being 5☆ imho.
I got these for an indoor home gym to save my floor and joints. Easy to lay over polished concrete floor without any permanent glues or tape required. They are quite heavy so I don’t think they will shift too much on the floor. I expected the rubber to have a heavy smell but I can barely smell them which is great! Was on board for delivery Tuesday but didn’t arrive til Friday so a bit slow but other than than that happy customer.
The actual mats are great but when placed together the edges do not align up well - even when using a bricklayer pattern. This is the second set I bought because I thought the poor alignment was due to the first batch being left in the weather for a few weeks. This set were placed down in 24 hours and edges still don't align neatly. Their customer service and delivery etc were however outstanding
Very happy with the quality floor tiles, very easy to lay down and looks great in my home gym. Was worried about the rubber smell when I first laid them down but after the first day it was not a problem and not strong smelling at all. Easy to clean when I vacuum and kids love playing in that room. Feels like a real gym and makes you want to workout. I roughly measured out the room and ordered 12 floor tiles to fit but when I laid them down my measurements were about 2cm out and 2 tiles didn’t fit perfectly so I’ve placed them elsewhere. Not a problem but I like symmetry so will figure how to fill the gap and perhaps order EVA tiles as a stretching area. I love how I can move tiles to suit my needs.
Our entire house uses wood flooring. It was last year when I decided to transform one of the guest rooms into a mini gym for me and my husband. It worked out fine for us until I gained an injury due to slipping in December. From then on, my husband and I decided to switch to rubber tiles. We don't want any accidents to happen again.Versafit was recommended by one of our good friends who uses the same flooring in his home. Glad we listened to his tip! I have been on a break from using our gym but husband says the tiles are super slip resistant. I'm on my way to full recovery now so I'm looking forward to spending quality time with him again. I miss working out!
