A major piece turned up broken in the box (turns out many people on Amazon had the same issue). It took Robert Dyas ages to talk to VegTrug, who eventually sent me a replacement part. Except it turned out to be the wrong sized part from another product (probably the non- wall hugger variety). Told Robert Dyas, who said they'd arrange a refund and collection. Then days later they needed photos. Then no contact for over a week so far. So I have a half-constructed product with the wrong replacement piece. I don't want it anymore. I don't want another replacement part. I'm done with this thing. I've bought another raised planter that's more sturdy, is made with better quality wood, is easier to construct and is happily doing its job while I wait for word of a refund and ... Purchased this month. Easy & quick to assemble & now home to some dwarf beans & hopefully some beetroot soon. Would recommend & will probably buy another too.
I already owned one but want to grow more vegetables so bought another larger one and am delighted. The best part is it is solid so will last and has a deep well so retains roots. It has a quality liner which helps prevent rot and looks good.
These vege boxes are fantastic, assembly is required but instructions are clear and relatively easy. Extremely efficient use of space and fit neatly against a wall or fence, and with being a raised garden no more bending down to tend to the veges and they are up high away from animals and get greater exposure to the sun.
First veg trug had to be returned due to poor assembly, the wood had split where screws had been put in. A new one was sent and the damaged one collected, which took longer than id hoped. The second one was ok. Nice and easy to put together and is a great addition to my garden.
Love my Vegtrug. I purchased 2 and ended up putting them back-to-back which makes a nice table. I also don't have to bend which is a bonus!

Just took delivery and assembly was relatively simple. Very happy with the product. I'm not sure how the capacity of the unit was calculated. The specs state 310 litres capacity. I chose to fill it with good quality potting mix and could only fit 220 litres.so I had 90 litres left over. No big deal as it will be used down the track, but I would recommend not purchasing 310 litres as specified unless you can use it elsewhere.
