This review is written from a left-handed writers perspective where the writing tools do not always behave the same because of the angle we write at.I bought various refills in both 0.38 mm and 0.5 mm. Regardless of colour, the 0.38 mm feel scratchier to write with than the 0.5 mm. The ink flow is inconsistent in the 0.38 mm leaving areas in the letters with little to no ink. So far, this has not been an issue with the 0.5 mm.I write underhanded; thus, it is not an issue for me as much than for those writing side or hooked, both inks dry quickly enough unless you are a speed writer, in which case the 0.38 mm dries fast enough were the 0.5 mm can smear slightly. For speed writing, the ink flow inconsistency in the 0.38 mm becomes even more pronounced. This is ... For speed writing, the ink flow inconsistency in the 0.38 mm becomes even more pronounced. This is just a personal preference. For my A6 journals, the 0.38 mm have just the right line thickness not to overwhelm the page. For my A5 journals, the 0.5 mm work well. The line thickness also affects the resulting ink colour on the page. The 0.38 mm blue-black appears bluer over the 0.5 mm which appears more blue-black. Colours such as the lime-green, yellow, and sky blue appear faint in 0.38 mm where as in 0.5 mm they appear just right. With the 0.38 mm so scratchy and the ink flow inconsistent, I will go with a lighter ink colour in the 0.5 mm for the A6.Overall, the 0.5 mm work for what they are and the colours are good, so as I use up the 0.38 mm I will be replacing them with 0.5 mm.

one of my favorite refills for my Dr. Grip 4+1! It's a slightly lighter and brighter color than the "light blue" version, though they are very similar. I use these for small notes in my planner and it lasts quite a while. The ink is smooth and flows easily, and you can get it smoother by writing for a short time on rougher surfaces (like my textured surface desk or a paper bag), to smooth out the writing tip.

Blue is such a common color to write with. Unfortunately, the past 2 purchases of this color has disappointed me. I thought it was a fluke the first time when all the other colors worked well. So, I purchased it a second time. Nope, still not working correctly. I do not know if it is this stocked color or something else, but I have an issue with the ink actually coming out and writing on any type of paper. It isn't smooth and writes as if I am running out of ink. The other Uni Style Fit Gel Refill colors work perfectly EXCEPT this blue color. I don't recommend.

PROS:Superfine writingVery little pressure requiredDoes not smudgeWide variety of colorsDoesn’t smear in waterCONS:Ink does not last very long. You cannot use a lot of pressure with this pen. These are the best pens I have found. They are super fine tip. They don’t smear. They require very little pressure. The only reason that I don’t give it 5 stars is because the ink does not last as long as I would hope. HIGHLY recommend it.I use this in combination with the StyleFit Pen housing. I have multiple colors. It is the BEST overall pen that I have found.
I absolutely love these pens, and JetPens is exactly where I go to get the refills. The superfine point lets me write or draw in great detail easily and clearly, while the ink is opaque enough to still show up clearly, even with the superfine lines. I find that the ink flows well too, no dragging the pen back over spots that just go blank like some kinds of pens do. All together a fantastic pen and one I swear by. And yes, I do regularly recommend these.
These write so smooth. I use the 0.38 mm to mark up and make notes in my Bible.Tthis is the perfect size for that. I use the 0.5 mm for note taking and general writing. This is the perfect size for my handwriting. The inks flows so smooth and wet yet dries quickly and I never get smears.
Thank god for jetpens. I got my first uni style-fit while I was in Okinawa. I was so bummed out when the pen ran dry. Since amazon has transitioned to “The Great Wall” it’s very hard finding good, quality products that aren’t all made, shipped from, or routed through China. So jetpens was able to supply me the refills I needed for my style fit. This is literally the smoothest, finest, and most consistent pen ever. It writes even finer and smoother than the RT1. The pen itself is VERY thing and can be cumbersome to write with, especially for long periods, but it does write perfectly.Definitely order one of these just to try it out. Mitsubishi’s gel ink is so nice too, trust me when I say if you’re looking for a good pen, try this one (get an RT1 too while you’re at ... MoreThank god for jetpens. I love myself extremely fine tips for gel pens, so it's no surprise when I saw that there was a 0.28 tip for my new Uni Style Fit, I jumped to get it. And what wasn't my surprise! At first it was somewhat scratchy, but after a while, this refill started writing smoothly, never skipped on me and kept the line consistence forever. I just have no words to explain how much in love I'm with this little guy.A dream experience for those who are obsessed with finding ever finer gel pens! A true working horse! Five stars is all I can give, but I'd certainly give a hundred if I could!
I have been using these pens/refills for over 5 years now. Very happy to see them stocked at Officeworks, for a very good price too!The ink flows very smoothly and makes writing just so much easier. The ink does not last a long time but at this price, that is not really a problem. I would suggest stocking up on the refills and just changing them out when you're out. The quality of these refills are very good and will consistently work until they run out. None of the shaking pens to get them to work again.I really cannot recommend these pens/refills enough, excellent product!!
