Umbra Twilight Room-Darkening Double Curtain Rod for Window Matte Nickel

If you are planning to use this curtain rod toward the upper end of its range (200-213cm) be aware the the internal rod is loose inside- there is no way to tighten it. This means that it can slide around when opening/closing curtains. It is also not a snug fit, so when used at the upper end of its advertised range it looks like it has a bow in the middle. I was able to fix it by replacing the inner rod with a longer 16mm conduit from a local store (which was also a more snug fit). The plaster plugs that come with the pole are also not fit for purpose and can barely hold up the pole without coming away from the wall, before you add any curtains- also had to replace with sturdier plaster plugs from a local store. Beautiful design and clever, effective build

This set of curtain rods is really beautiful and elegant, and beautifully designed, too! Even coming out of the box, everything is packed very logically, and the design itself is very effective for hanging the apparatus as smoothly as possible. I love the wrap-around design, since this is for my bedroom, and I’m in a first-floor unit and get light in from our neighbors’ floodlights. With the wrap-around and a decent blackout curtain, we can block most light. The only challenge using it with a smaller window is the overlapping adjustable rod means, if using fabric loops, the curtain catches a bit going over the rod when closing on one side. Using loops to attach the curtain also means the curtain bubbles oddly around the corner. But this isn’t a real issue. Best double curtain rod

These are my favorite curtain rods. They really help keep the light out when needed and I love that I can open up the curtains and have sheer curtains on the inside for privacy. Also great and convenient for the winter time when I need to put thicker curtains up to keep the bedrooms warm. It’s also very easy to remove the curtains when you need to wash them or switch them out. I highly recommend it if you are shopping around for a double curtain rod!

Easy to install!

Bought this when I moved out and I'm so happy about this purchase. It works great and looks very minimalist chic to me, I'm glad I found something to use for the bedroom that has both privacy curtains that let the light in and thick light blocking curtains for sleeping. They are really easy to install and quick, I was happy I could do all of that myself. The extension it perfect for many lengthss of windows and the rods are telescopic but don't bulge a ton so the curtains can still slide over it if they have metal or some other thick holes. The ones I have in sheer thin fabric don't move that easily but I like to leave them on so that's no issue. Just something to think about when you purchase curtains!

Exceeded expectations, wish I’d purchased sooner!!

I got the double curtain rod in brushed nickel (or whatever the silver color is called, I can’t remember at the moment). They were very easy to install, and very durable. I got a wider size than I needed so I could collapse them so the rods would be extra strong for the heavy (4 extra long, floor- puddling panels for each window) curtains I hung, and I wanted more of the window to be exposed when the bulky outer curtains are open and that worked perfectly…lots of filtered light comes in during the day through the inner sheer curtains. The difference between the two sizes is just that the larger pack has one more tube that helps cover a greater distance.

Love the design but...

I love the design so much that I want to change all my curtain rods in every room in the house with this one. However, as mentioned by the other reviewers the hardware that comes with this is very low quality. The plastic screw anchor is very filmsy and it broke, bent or shattered when you try to push it inside the drilled hole even with gentle tap of rubber mallet. Even if you manage to put it in the hole, it didn't hold the screw properly after the curtains installed which put some weight on the rods. Also the screws are too short and not looking very strong. Had to removed and replace everything because I noticed the rods started tipping down and the screws were coming out in within hour of installation. MISSING PARTS! Not wrapped in box, seems used

It came in a box with the one end partially open and none of the pieces were labeled or secured. So the pieces were just tumbling around, loose in the box. Getting minor scrapes. Possibly this was someone's return? Despite that, this would probably be a fantastic product if it had been sent with all of the pieces. I THOUGHT I had it all when I started putting it together (my fault) and it wasn't until we were ready to put it up that I realized that we were missing a middle piece of the back bar and a side piece of the larger front rod. With the largest size, there should be 2 ends and a middle piece for the back rod and 2 ends and a middle piece for the front rod. In other words, 2 of 6 rods were missing! Recent Bedroom Renovation

I really love this brand's curtain rods. They are sturdy and attractive. The double rod is modern but goes with my art deco room. The sheer panel under grommet drapery looks elegant and works well with the decor. The corners are a very effective benefit, blocking out light. I don't use room darkening draperies, but this design feature gives more privacy at night.

The Best Curtain Rod

I originally recommended these to my son and then when I moved into a new home I installed them throughout. And they are far and away the best curtain rods. Very simple to install, the wrap around feature helps limit light infiltration, great quality. Everything about these makes them the perfect curtain rods for me and, I think, most. Highly recommended.
