I bought this skillet to replace the same skillet that I had bought four or five years ago and used practally everyday. It finally got scratched and my omelets starting sticking so I decided to replace it with one I trusted. The new one arrived and works perfectly, the omelets slide onto my plate beautifully. If the new one works as well as its older brother I will be estatic, so far so good.

I needed a large frying pan to replace my old Calphalon. I mainly use this pan to fry eggs and make omelets and for this, the non-stick surface has been excellent. The pan heats up very quickly. Eggs literally slide around the pan while cooking and can be easily flipped without sticking. The insulated handle is also a nice feature as it protects you from burns and offers a nice grip. The pan washes up easily with soap and water. There are probably better pans for a lot more money, but at this price point, its a good value.

Old school electrical coil stove. Never above Medium heat so far.Great quality pan! I followed the initial pre-use instructions and have been very happy. My stove eyes don’t sit perfectly level but this baby distributes the heat evenly regardless. I’ve done a few different things but eggs fried over easy and scrambled and steak seem to be the standard test. Both have been perfectly cooked! Eggs were easy to move/flip with 1/4 tsp olive oil in for about 10 seconds before they were added to the pan. Steaks were on Medium heat after warming the pan for about 1.5 minutes with a little oil. They just slid around when I touched the pan. I put them in an oven at 400 for a few minutes and it was glorious.I’ve used a light dish soap after cooling for good measure but even ... FYI I don’t use metal utensils with the pan.Don’t waste money on an expensive pan! This thing is fantastic.

This pan has a really nice solid feel, balances well on the stove the bottom of the pan lays flat. It’s a very good non-stick pan, and behaves as expected. I’ve seen some reviews with people complaining that you can’t use high heat, which is weird since this is simply the wrong pan category for pan frying food in oil. You need to use different not non-stick pans. Non-stick pans are specifically suited for low/medium low cooking. That’s why they exist to keep things from sticking during low/medium heat cooking without the need for fat.Non-stick pans will also wear out. When this one does, I will buy it again.
My wife and basically only use nonstick pans for eggs and fish. This skillet handles both of those tasks very well. The skillet feels more durable and hefty than any other nonstick we’ve owned. We ordered the 14 skillet. We laughed when it arrived because it seemed absurdly large. But assuming you’ve got the storage space for it, the extra capacity is really handy. And if we ever have 12 people over for scrambled eggs, we’ll only need the one pan.
Ive been using these for years and they are the best. You must heed the instructions and use them for eggs, pancakes, sauté etc. If you use high heat your oil will turn into pebbley dark patches which will turn your nonstick pan into just the opposite. Use cast iron or clad pans for high heat searing, etc. Dont ever forget and leave the heat on after taking your food out I did and thats why Im replacing my 8 pan. And, no, I am not going to take a photo of the pan I destroyed and claim it was defective!
Our old Pro3004 12’ pan was bought 7 years ago. It’s getting a little sticky. No surprise. So bought the new Pro series 12’ pan from Home Deliveries USA. The biggest difference is the new one is lighter, weighed as 2.5 lb. I took out the old pan and weighed as 3.75 lb. When cooking, the new pan is much faster to heat up. But it does not hold heat as the old one. Finally, another difference: the old pan was Made in USA, the new pan was Made in Brazil. Conclusion: your pan, your call.
In a nutshell: I like this non-stick pan. In particular, its good to know its not made with PFOA forever chemicals. Granted, its brand new. Non-stick surface worked well for sautéing onions and cooking eggs. Cleaned up easily. I like the silicon handle cover to keep it cool. However, beware Tramontinas contradictory instructions. The sheet in the package advised to use this pan over low to medium heat. High heat can damage it.But then they turn around to say the pan is oven safe to 400 degrees with the silicone handle and up to 500 degrees without the silicone handle. That makes no sense if youre only supposed to use it over low to medium heat. I wrote to Tramontina and received a generic email reply which did not answer my question about this.Needless to say, I will ... MoreIn a nutshell: I like this non-stick pan. Poor communication with this manufacturer cost them the remaining star in my review.
I bought this at walmart because a quick review (can't remember where) said it was the top rated non-stick fry pan. I used it 3 times, all 3 to cook eggs. First time, I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary, largely because I didn't think to scan the surface after first use. After the second time, I noticed hundreds of quarter-sized swirlies. I figured this was from the plastic brush I used to lightly wash the interior (I emphasize lightly because there was really nothing stuck to the pan). I thought, "well, we'll just have to use a soft sponge". Third time today, I noticed about a dozen 4" long scratched from where I scooted my plastic spatula underneath the eggs to flip them (over-easy style). DONE!! This pan was about $24 at Walmart...rather than face the hassle of returning it used, I decided just to pitch it into the garbage and warn people away from it. I don't really care to upload photos. Believe me or not, doesn't matter to me, my search for a non-stick pan continues.
