Hello, my mum has a plan with yourselves she got it before so that when my cats went to live with her I could see where they were as I live in Poole, Dorset and she lives in Worthing, West Sussex. My mum trained my cats to come back when the sound on their tracker went off, my male cat ignores it still and does what he wants most of the time but it works so well with my female cat. They have moved back with me in Poole after 2 years because my house I moved to is finally at a state they can be here. If it gets late I set the noise off and you see her coming running down the garden a few minutes later, greeted by some dreamies. The next day she went to the vet and due to her pain levels was unable to come home until Monday. Eventually on Tuesday we had to make the difficult decision to amputate her leg. It was the best decision for her health and well-being unfortunately. However little Willow now 5 days in is jumping on and off the bed, she’s super cuddly now, she is eating well and has quickly learnt how to balance herself in her litter tray (just while the wound heals as she isn’t allowed outside yet)I just wanted to say that it’s not definite as you never know if she would have come back on her own, but as she has been in the same area where she was on the tracker all day after being hit I really think if I hadn’t set the sound off it wouldn’t have encouraged her to get herself home, and without the tracker I would have been unable to know where she was. She may have stayed in the bushes she’d run off into and been there all night and not made it through the night due to the cold and her pain, but albeit a bit wobbly now with only 3 legs, we’ve got her back home and she’s doing really well and I am so so thankful for her GPS Tractive tracker :)

Worth the relief in stress if you have any cat whose behavior isn't 100% predictable. Helps with the anxiety/trust of allowing you cat to explore the outdoors.Ordering this was a no-brainer. We once had an outdoor cat for 13 years who disappeared one day, never to be found.Also, days before I pulled the trigger (order), we were pondering a reward/ransom as my current [young female] cat had gone missing for 2 full days.Thankfully she came back! ... So now she has this insurance right on her collar.

Aside from being unavoidably big, the device works well. Tracks accurately and the battery life is pretty good. We only put it on our cat at night. During the day she sleeps around the house. Didn't take her long to get used to it. She was a street cat so never had a collar until now. You need to buy a separate collar. The Rogz ones work well with the safety latch. The mobile app is great too. You also need to subscribe to a GPS provider which is easy as the app steps you through it all. Costs extra but is worth the peace of mind.

I've been a happy customer of Tractive for several years. My cat is roaming freely around our house, which is close to a forest. I realized that sometimes she goes to a certain part of the forest (the location history is in Tractive app), and comes with ticks on her fur. My cat has regular medicine against ticks/fleas and the real risk is for for humans.I simply created a "No-Go" zone and marked that place as "Tick Zone".Whenever she goes there, we get the warning in the application, and once she is back at home, we check her even more thoroughly than usual.That means safety for all family, not only for my cat.

Worst GPS

I got this collar for a scared foster cat, whom we’ve been working with to reduce her past trauma and she’s extremely scared in outside areas, and I wanted to be able to track her down in case she got lost24h after putting it on, she managed to get out and I went to go find her. The trackers live location continuously showed her in my area, 1-2m away from me, even with the Bluetooth radar, and she probably never was close to me. Within one hour, the device had critical battery and then died. I’ve been trying to find my cat since, but am giving up hope slowly. My advice, get an AirTag, they’re cheaper and their battery lasts longer, and their location is more accurate.
