I purchased this Router about a month ago. Setup was painful until I worked out I had to set the MAC address of my AX53 to the same as my old Router and it started working about 3 seconds after I hit save (I assume I could have rang AussieBroadband and got them change the MAC address on their end). IPv6 was turned on and it automatically connected using the default settings.WiFi is extremely stable, I have had no dropouts and everything responds very quickly using multiple devices. All my google home devices seem much quicker to respond & do what I ask.XBOX gameplay ping has slightly improved over my Netgear D7000 router using an Ethernet cable.Complemented the router with a TP-Link PCiE WiFi 6 adaptor. Very easy to change setting. Tether app very handy to.

I bought this as a replacement for my Telstra router and despite some initial hiccups I'm glad I did.Pros:* Speeds, WiFi 6 and WPA3 support are great.* Can actually change the DNS settings to whatever you like.* Has support for static routes and WPA2-Enterprise which is a nice bonus.* Has a decent advanced config page with a good amount of settings to mess around with* Has an app that lets you configure your network from your phone, however I haven't used itCons:* Setup OOTB was a bit of a pain. It pays to read the manual even if you're technically inclined as the settings required for a HFC NBN connection are different than FTTN and FTTP. Namely I had to set the MAC address to "Clone current device address" for a connection to a cable modem (i.e HFC ...Β MoreI bought this as a replacement for my Telstra router and despite some initial hiccups I'm glad I did.Pros:* Speeds, WiFi 6 and WPA3 support are great.* Can actually change the DNS settings to whatever you like.* Has support for static routes and WPA2-Enterprise which is a nice bonus.* Has a decent advanced config page with a good amount of settings to mess around with* Has an app that lets you configure your network from your phone, however I haven't used itCons:* Setup OOTB was a bit of a pain. Namely I had to set the MAC address to "Clone current device address" for a connection to a cable modem (i.e HFC NBN) to work. I wish this was documented in the setup wizard as well.* IPv6 support: Furthermore, this was also difficult. TP-Link's terminology doesn't seem match up with the documentation that most Aussie ISPs provide for v6 support. In particular on my HFC setup I had to set the IPv6 WAN to Dynamic with the "Get IPv6 Address" set to "Non-address" and the LAN set to "SLAAC+RDNSS" for it to work. Failing to do the former would seem to generate IPv6 addresses on the LAN side but prevent routing out to the internet.* WiFi range is a bit less than I'd like, however this may the result of "Smart Connect" (band steering) being enabled.Overall I'm extremely satisfied with this router even with the above issues.

Pros: easy to set up
I got this router so I can link my pico 4 vr headset & PC on the same wifi 6 network to play games on steam vr.Thus router does that & instantly boosted my sitting room wifi from 80mbps to 300mbps on a 5ghz network. It's a good mid range router ideal for gaming. Set up is easy as you can imagine via the tether app. Scan the qr code & your away. Power down your main router then connect through ethernet cable preferably cat6 or above & what your wifi speeds & deadzones change drastically. Not the best by far but for the price & my indoor needs it is absolutely fine. I wish there were more security features & I don't like you have to pay for wifi protection. The cpu is pretty basic & it does get hot under heavy load but thanks to the usb port I connected my small desk fan & raised the router slightly with four bits of plastic at each corner for maximum ventilation. I'm happy with my purchase & will upgrade when I feel necessary.
Pros: It works for melifespan =time will tellCons: Its fine for me
Purchased this on the basis of it stating compatibility with FTTN, but it's just an uplink for bridged mode, that doesn't imply compatibility with FTTN. It has no RJ11 port. Amend your description.
Pros: 4 Ethernet portsCons: Tp-support poor. Marketing over hyped. Fewer options to configure than older models. Homeshield does not seem to do anything. Response from tp-support is links to marketing.
Delivers as per manufacturers promise. Stable Wi-Fi. Reliable thus far. Easy setup. Comprehensive user guide. GUI easy navigation with helps. All the features expected from a decent router. Only con is that all Wi-Fi has to be on to utilise guest option so a security flaw there as far as I'm concerned. Others may not mind that but I specifically bought it for access to Wi-Fi cams and nothing else so I'd have preferred to be able to disable other network Wi-Fi.
Seems too boost my WiFi really good easy too set up nice piece of equipment
Do not waste your time or money on this junk. I donβt know how long I actually spent just trying to get it to connect to the internet via my existing hardware but it just would NOT connect. Even tried what was mentioned in the other reviewβ¦NADA! In the end I have up and I was about to have an aneurism and I didnβt feel like passing away. Spend your hard earned on a different router because this one will send you bald.
