Tommee Tippee Super Steam Advanced Electric Steriliser White

I have had this for 4 months and already need a new one, the plate keeps burning and there is a burning smell when I use the machine, I’m not even sure if it’s safe to use as it could be a fire risk with the burning. The actually bottle stand has also warped in the middle. I throughly clean all bottles after use, I descale multiple times a week and clean the machine after each use as well as using the correct amount of water but it still burns. I tried to contact tommee tippee to be told it just needed descaling. They have been useless and no help at only suggesting to send it back for quality testing which takes 21days. How am I supposed to sterilise my bottles for 3 weeks? It’s a complete waste of money. So much for a 2 year warranty! As a mum of 8 I've always used tommee tippee brand over the last 2 decades. I love the safety and high quality of their products which have always offered good value for money. I knew I was getting the very best for my babies with this brand which i still do on all their other products except this electric steam steriliser. I'm saddened at the poor re-model of the steam steriliser, I had all their older models of sterilisers and loved everyone of them without issues until this recent one, it's awful and the hot plate isn't fit for purpose, nor do I think it's safe with the brown water covering the baby bottles and discolouring the plastics inside. My 2yr old kettle gets used more every day and the internal hotplate is not at all burnt, limescaled or damaged, I think tommee tippee need to re-evaluate their supplier of the hotplate.

Both have just suddenly died.I’ve read your prior responses trying to claim the limescale situation isn’t a fault, a number of pints for you here under UK law. Under the Consumer Rights act 2015 products must be “as described” “fit for purpose” and in a “suitable condition”. Clearly you machines are designed with mothers of babies sterilising their bottles and paraphernalia on a daily basis. Another waste of money purchasing a Tommee Tippee item.Purchased in January 2024 from Amazon. After using the steriliser the plate was burnt as well as the tray. There are black debris in the tray after using. Amazon advised to contact Tommee Tippee and Tommee Tippee advised to contact Amazon after requesting the batch details and my proof of receipt. Was also advised the black debris was burnt milk suggesting that I did not properly wash the baby bottles. Really?!Again poor customer device and now left with a sterilised I am not happy about using. Please do not waste your money and take not me from all other negative reviews.

I can’t understand what are these negative reviews about. You need to clean the steriliser like any other items.Add a bit of vinegar instead of the water and leave it for few minutes than wipe the silver plate. And it will look just like new if you do it regularly instead of using steriliser for weeks without cleaning it. Simple!I did use it 5 years ago for my first daughter. I kept it in the storage and I’m now using the same steriliser for my second daughter. It still works perfectly and it’s nice and clean after so many years. Well worth the money if you take care of it.

I can't believe this is allowed to be sold. I bought it not thinking twice because Tommee Tippee is supposed to be a truster brand. As others have also said, it stopped working when my son was a month old. And hasn't worked since. I've been trying to get it replaced but I bought it on Amazon not directly through them. Its just a waste of money now sitting in my kitchen. I finally got through to Tomme Tippee and was told to email pictures of the hot plate to some email which keeps getting returned to me as the email address doesn't exist.Apart from this the design is terrible too. Any little movement when taking the lid off and everything topples over. Long term review: this thing is great

Just coming to the end of the sterilising period for my second child. This is a reliable workhorse of a product which sterilises perfectly and is easy to operate.The negative reviews state things like "it drips water everywhere", it doesn't, just angle the lid when tou take it off and the sterile water drips back to the bottom. "I can't operate it when holding a baby"... well don't operate it when holding your baby then. "It gets limescale easily", well descale it every now and then.Honestly, this product has done us proud for two healthy young babies who've never had upset stomachs. Whilst I'll enjoy my extra worktop space once this goes, I'll miss having it as part of the regular feeding ritual from my two babies.

This product does what it says - which is sterilise.I dislike that it often leaves my bottles soaking, especially when travelling I don’t like the thought of water just sitting in the bottles all day.It also requires to be descaled constantly or it will leave gunk on your bottles.When removing the lid water does spill everywhere as well.It is quicker than boiling them if you take into account the time it takes to boil the water first.My bottles are also too tall (dr Browns) to fit with the top shelf so I find that I can’t sterilise six bottles and the teats at the same time.But I honestly prefer to boil and save the bench space but if you are short on time or don’t have that many bottles this could definitely be a quicker way.
