I had been looking for an automatic Swiss watch, and what stood out to me about this one:Tissot is one of the oldest watchmakers in Switzerland, and this watch has pretty good reviews from aficionados as far as an entry level Swiss watch goes.The dial is very pretty, very classy. The strap is a little stiff and the clasp is different (as noted in other reviews). It took some getting used to, but once I got the hang of it, it didn’t bother me.Overall, very satisfied with this watch. Feels great wearing it and gets a lot of compliments.

The Tissot Le Locle is a classic Tissot style watch. The dial is exquisite and the display caseback is a nice touch. My only minor tick is that the bracelet is shiny bright, which does not show on the low quality images from Tissot (The images you see on Macys are exact copies from Tissot.). But after wearing the watch I prefer the shiny bracelet. This watch compares quite well to other more expensive Swiss watches that I own. I have had this watch for two months now and it is accurate - gaining only 20 secs per week. And the 80 hr power reserve is a plus, basically you can wear this watch every three days and it keeps running, on time.
The watch has a nice minimalist design and the case diameter is also a good size. The strap is stiff, but that would likely break in after more use. In terms of material quality, I would say this watch is excellent; definitely deserved considering the price. Bring the big 50 this year, I wanted to treat myself to a best watch. Having purchased a few hand wind / automatic wind watches over the last few years and then decided I didn’t like them, I came across this watch. Swiss made timepiece that I love. Minimal in design but has the class of any decent watch. It arrived a few days after purchase made and although I’ve got to put it away until my birthday in February, I still keep having a sneak peek. I personally prefer stainless steel bracelets, but purpose chose a leather strap watch because I wanted something classy and not flashy.Part of the charm of this watch is that it doesn't leave a huge impression. When you enter a room, not all eyes are going to fly to your wrist. If that is your personal style, then this is a great watch for you. While other people will not notice the subtle detailing, the guilloche dial, the sweeping second hand, the Roman numerals and the gold pleated rotor hidden behind the transparent case back..But you will, every time you glance down at your wrist.This is a sophisticated dress watch, with a very simple design. I highly recommend the Tissot Le Locle. It is a classic, and it is a great addition to any collector's drawer.
Tissot have created a beautiful, modern take on a classic design with this watch. The elegant face is matched by an equally stunning case back. The piece fits well on the wrist with a quality leather strap and the construction feels robust. So far the Powermatic 80 movement seems to only gain about two seconds a day. All in all a great dress watch which I intend to keep for special occasions.
The extra attention to detail on this watch is something else. It’s see through back with detailed engravings around the edges of the back. It’s 80 hour power reserve is great for swapping between watches, still ticking and up to date when you want it next. Also does great as an every day watch with 3 bar water resistance and comfortable leather band. The manual winding feels and sounds how it should in a quality watch. When you hold the watch up to your ear, the heart beat’s tick is fast and satisfying to listen to. One of the best watches for someone not wanting to spend more than 1k, affordable but classy with great internals.
