Sleek yes but replaced almost immediately with a far more practical press. Difficult to clean with water getting trapped between glass and plastic. Rubber band too tight for easy removal of glass. Hot water leaks whilst you pour burning fingers.

This is a beautiful item and I love the internal glass cup which sits snuggly inside it’s plastic outer. However, the design of the plunger lid has not been tested, as the filter where you pour from, even when aligned with the spout, has a bit of plastic blocking the spout. I don’t know how the designers did not realise that the filter section does not actually line up with the spout but instead sits underneath it, meaning that only a tiny dribble of liquid pours out when you tilt it over.

Perfect size for my larger mugs.I have been using this for a year now. The plastic sleeve is the perfect thickness. It never gets too hot to the touch even if I forget and steep the tea too long.The find mesh plunger is a great size. I haven't had any problems with anything passing through it when I plunge, regardless of the tea type

I like the simplicity of this product. Also the inner sleeve ( glass ) is secure. I don’t have to worry about it sliding out and breaking when rinsing. Perfect size for a single brew. At a stretch, two cups.
This is a good, cheaper-end, french press. I like the plastic sleeve, which (while not sealed) still provides a good amount of heat retention. The plunger filters out grounds well. It makes good coffee. My only criticism is that the plunger sinks half way down into the brew under its own weight, and so I need to prop it up.
Perfect for a camping trip!Light and small. You can make 2 coffee at a time, and the plastic keep your coffee warm and protect the glass during transport. I needed a travel companion for those times when I need something simple yet functional. the form factor packs nicely in my suitcase and makes enough to share as well. fits my desires just right.
I bought this french press for travelling. The white one look really nice, but the glass is very hard to push out. The plunger does not stay up while the coffee is brewing. And when you plunge the coffee, it sinks right into it. Disappointed that it doesn't work well.
I was attracted to the style and simplicity of this product. Unfortunately it is difficult to clean and reassemble due to a rubber ring between the sleeve and beaker. When pouring you get a dribble at best and the plunger doesn't contact the sides meaning it drops under its own weight. I would look at other French Press first and unfortunately will need to in the future as the Timemore U has found its way to the back of the cupboard. That's the risk of online shopping I guess.I will buy from Alternative Brewing again. Great service, postage speed etc. 1 Star for the product and 5 for Alternative Brewing.
This is a pretty nice French Press to use. It's compact and looks nice. It's also a really good size for one person. The filter is only average though, you get fines in the cup like you do with most French Presses.
