This throttle quadrant has really impressed me. By default the throttles have detents along their axes that mimic the detents found in the actual Airbus A320 throttle quadrant. However what I really like is that if you're flying a non-Airbus plane then the detents can be deactivated. In addition the throttle quadrant has reverse thrust triggers that mimic those found in the real aircraft. Another bonus though is that these reverse triggers can very easily be 'locked out' to more accurately simulate aircraft that don't have reverse thrust capability; twin pistons for example.Right out of the box the setup for MSFS2020 was extremely easy. As an add-on, its a great compliment to the overall setup. It does take some calibration and adjustment to dial it in just right but overall its a great addition for flying 4 engine birds. Works as advertised.Pros: Everything is adjustable and programable. Mostly works right out of the box.Cons: It is does feel kinda cheap and adding it to the existing throttle requires a steady hand.Adjustment can be frustrating if you're new to sim equipment.

Pros: Almost 1:1 scale levers and reverse latches. Colours and markings are accurate and detents are almost spot on to the real quadrant. When flying the FSLabs 320, it’s not far off actually being at work. As a first Officer, this quadrant allows me to practice for my command exams without having to travel the country to a sim.Cons: There are only two things letting this quadrant down;1. The friction on it’s tightest setting is not close to the real aircraft, which for a seasoned pilot like me means I am often applying too much power as the levers move too easily. 2. The lights on the engine start panel have been converted to buttons on this quadrant and in the FSLabs aircraft, these serve no purpose and that leaves me with two redundant buttons.

Overall good but flimsy build quality & sensors.
31 January 2021

Overall I enjoy this product. However, it comes with problems due to seemingly cheap production.,The sensors for the position of each of the thrust levers can differ greatly (For example, the 2 levers could physically be in the same position, but the software thinks that lever #1 is a lot more forward/backward than lever #2). This can be a little annoying when trying to enter the CLB detent range as the game might recognize 1 lever in the CLB detent but thinks the other isn't there yet or already past it (same thing with FLEX/MCT detent), sometimes even resulting in the "THRUST ASYM" warning in the Airbus.Where it becomes really problematic is in the thrust reverse detent range/zone:#1 Both levers think they have reached the end of the axis/deflection range ... MoreOverall I enjoy this product. Hence reducing the total effective range (of an already very small range) in which you can move the reversers.#2 Due to the earlier problem with the 2 levers physically being in the same physical position but indicating a slightly different position value to the software, combined with the smaller movement range from problem #1, result in any positional value inaccuracies being amplified immensely. More often than not, 1 engine will be in IDLE reverse while the other is in MAX reverse even though both levers are in the exact same physical position. It is possible to "soften" the effect of these problems, but it will take a lot of time configuring and calibrating the controls in the Simulator, and even then it will not be perfect.Another issue I had was that some of the screws to attach/remove the optional detent notches literally partially pulverized upon me removing them for the first time, indicating once again cheap build quality.

Robert's review of Thrustmaster TCA Airbus Edition Throttle Quadrant Flight Controller & Joystick - Black & Blue
27 December 2022

Pros: The joystick feels really good and is precise - the throttle assembly is probably overkill given that you use it for about 2 minutes on each flight in an Airbus sim... but it does add that additional level of reality if that's important to you.Cons: As an annoyance MSFS defaults buttons that aren't available in the throttle - but that's not the fault of the product just something to be aware of if you pause the sim then find flaps and speed brakes both set to full... just debind the buttons that don't exist to fix.

Rory's review of Thrustmaster TCA Airbus Edition Throttle Quadrant Flight Controller & Joystick - Black & Blue
23 September 2021

Pros: Excellent product from Thrustmaster. Works out of the box with Microsoft Flight Simulator (both the default and A32NX aircraft) and really adds to the realism. I like the fact that it can be adjusted to right/left handed use easily and it sits sturdy on my desk.Cons: I wish that they'd kept the TOGA and FLX/MCT detents closer together, as in the real aircraft. This results in a reduced range of movement from IDLE through to CLIMB. This can be recalibrated of course, but would still have felt more accurate.

Thrustmaster Throttle Quadrant
30 June 2021

Bought on the recommendation of the FS2020 community. I had issues with my FS2020 load which made setting up the device at first very difficult. Once the problems were sorted it works as it should. I think the online comments about the fragility of the thrustmaster are ill founded, what it does, is first class. The only objective comment I have is that for use in a A320 the gap between the idle and climb setting is too narrow. This will probably be designed as such for it to cater for other types of aircraft. It is not supposed to be a replica of the real thing - it's a Flight Sim add-on. And that is exactly what it is and now it works for me, I highly recommend it.

Trustmaster TCA Quadrant Airbus Edition
31 March 2021

The TCA Quadrant Edition looks so real and I enjoy even just seeing it beside me on my desk. It did give me a feel and look when flying a two engines plane like B737 and A321. Microsoft Flight Simulator X can recognize both my old Logitech Attach 3 (11 buttons) and this TCA Quadrant Edition. Download the drivers from Trustmaster website is easy. It works both on my Windows 7 and Vista. I haven't tried Windows 10 yet because I am still not able to install my MFS-X on it. You need two editions if you want to fly a four engines aircraft like boeing 747. To enable the thrust reversal mechanism, customize your choice by selecting Throttle (decrease quickly) under Buttons/Keys / Joystick / Repeat, and not Control Axes / Reverse.

Weston's review of Thrustmaster TCA Quadrant Airbus Edition
9 February 2021

Pros: This is fantastic for flying the Toliss Airbus A319, A321 and the flight factor A320 in X-plane 11. Brings the realism and ease to a new level as the detents for climb, flex and toga are synced with the planes so it makes it so easy. Also no need to change the view to the pedestal as you can use the engine mode switch and starters to start the engine on push back.Cons: Would be good if the engine switches had the lift and move function to stop the possibility of accidentally shutting down the engine as in the real plane. Not done this yet but it could happen. For the ffa320 I had to set up axis curves but once done it works great. This is probably more a Flight factor thing than for Thrustmaster.

Works Well

I really like the quality of the throttle. The buttons and switches have a good feel to them. It was easy to set up with Microsoft Flight Simulator. I only have 2 gripes. 1) The tensioning screw to make the handles harder to move has little to no effect. Tightened all the way, the throttles move just as easily as not tightened at all. In fact, I have it tightened all the way, but the handles can still slowly move down under their own weight when throttle is set very low. 2) The detents to set Climb, Flex, and TOGA power are evenly spaced along the axis. Meaning move the throttle up 1/3 of the way and you are at Climb thrust setting. Another 1/3 and you are at Flex thrust, the final 1/3 gets you to TOGA power. This only gives you a small amount of throw (first 1/3) ... MoreI really like the quality of the throttle. The buttons and switches have a good feel to them.
