I got this because I wanted to add in a peptide product into my routine. I’ve tried a more expensive Polypeptide Moisturizer and I’ve heard this is a cheaper alternative. It’s not quite as hydrating as the Drunk Elephant but on a budget this will due in a pinch. This is a lightweight cream that goes on smoothly and is fast absorbing. It has a dual peptide formula that can reduce fine lines and wrinkles, support the skins moisturizer barrier and help with loss of firmness and elasticity. It’s a strange consistency where it is creamy but on applying it to the skin absorbs really fast. A good choice for summer time when you don’t want a thick or heavy cream for day use. I’ve been using this moisturizer for about 2.5 months now. The first 2 months I used this product both morning and night and I enjoyed it, it’s a nice light moisturizer that did the job. I found though that using during the day would sometimes result in my face feeling kinda hot and I could feel the moisturizer on my skin. I figured the moisturizer was too much to be wearing daytime for my combo skin. When I ran out and repurchased I also bought a gel moisturizer so I could use that during the day and reserve the peptide moisturizer for night time. It’s made quite a difference and I’m glad I did it. I will say the pump version of this product is a bit wasteful in my opinion because the whole jar isn’t filled with product like you would think. I hated this moisturizer. I have sensitive and skin along with rosacea so the Inkey List chat person recommended me this. It caused a burning sensation when applied, dried my skin out, and peeled horribly. It was so gross when it peeled. You could see the product peeling and it looked like my skin. At first I thought another product in my routine caused it to do this so I applied only this after washing my face and it still burned and peeled. I don't think this moisturizer is good for anyone with dry or sensitive skin. Maybe for oily skin since it dried my skin out but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. It was a horrible experience all around. It also smelt bad. Which I could ignore but the product sucked in general so I feel inclined to say something.

After using this for 3 weeks my skin is not only feeling paper-y but my forehead has little bumps all over it :(Let me preface this with I do not get skin issues/acne aside from dryness unless I use a bad product, it is a blessed genetic gift from my mother I inherited so honestly I'm mortified right now and not leaving the house bc I know all my friends are gonna use this as their opportunity to tease meI googled all the ingredients and compared them to the brand I've used for years (Avène) & the four I can find that would be causing this slow-drying sort of irritation are:Benzyl AlcoholPhenoxyethanol (known to irritate eczema along with the ability to lead to other harmful effects to longterm health i.e. CANCER)Sodium Hydroxide (corrosive to the skin and ... MoreAfter using this for 3 weeks my skin is not only feeling paper-y but my forehead has little bumps all over it :(Let me preface this with I do not get skin issues/acne aside from dryness unless I use a bad product, it is a blessed genetic gift from my mother I inherited so honestly I'm mortified right now and not leaving the house bc I know all my friends are gonna use this as their opportunity to tease meI googled all the ingredients and compared them to the brand I've used for years (Avène) & the four I can find that would be causing this slow-drying sort of irritation are:Benzyl AlcoholPhenoxyethanol (known to irritate eczema along with the ability to lead to other harmful effects to longterm health i.e. CANCER)Sodium Hydroxide (corrosive to the skin and harmful to the lungs-- while it's too small to do anything immediately ~imagine~ what it's doing over time)Phenethyl Alcohol (an ingredient that's never truly been tested for safety and has been proven to cause irritation in low doses as well as effects on the brain, nervous system, and reproductive system in moderate doses). Now, I know their team is going to reply with "blah blah blah we need preservatives, it is FDA approved, blah blah blah" but other companies, aside from Avène, do NOT use Benzyl Alcohol, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Hydroxide, Phenethyl Alcohol, or any of their other ~questionable~ ingredients. I'm not saying this to get some marketing loop-around response, I'm saying this so y'all know what to look out for. Make sure the products in your bathroom are ~actually~ clean and NOT just "clean by Sephora." And honestly I'm surprised no one is getting sued over this (not that I will~~ not my circus, not my monkey). While my skin initially loved this product initially, overtime its harmed it. After waking up today with a simultaneously greasy and flaky/bumpy forehead this morning, I will be switching back to the TriXéra Nutrition Nutri-Fluid Balm by Avène-- it's more expensive but the bottle is FOUR times the size (this is 1.6 oz, Trixera is 6.7 oz), does not have any harsh preservatives, has nutrients in it, actually locks in moisture overtime instead of drying.
I love this moisturizer but the packaging is awful. It’s calming to my dry skin and leaves my face feeling supple and not sticky or greasy at all. Great for laying as well as it doesn’t pill and sinks into skin well. Really nice product.Major downside is the packaging. It’s difficult to get product out even when the bottle is near full and I know I will end up cutting the bottle open to get the last 1/3 or more out. The plastic it’s made of is too hard to really squeeze anything out. If they made this in a large pump tub I’d buy it. Not sure if I’ll buy again simply because the bottle drives me insane having to shake it vigorously and slap it against my hand to get ANYTHING out. Kind of kills the relaxing skincare girly vibe I’ve got going with my routine. ... MoreI love this moisturizer but the packaging is awful. It’s calming to my dry skin and leaves my face feeling supple and not sticky or greasy at all. It pains me to write this, I believe in focusing on the quality of a product when doing reviews. However, the decision to change your packaging has arguably ruined the best moisturizer I have yet to find and the entire experience when using something does matter too. This was my most purchased product of 2022. The pump jar was excellent; I have to believe anyone that complained about it was due to lack of knowledge/understanding on how it functioned. The new bottle is incredibly stiff and it’s impossible to squeeze out all the product. Once cutting it open I was shocked and appalled at how much was left on the sides of the bottles. It’s very possible product is being wasted by many. Luckily, I had an empty jar from another brand that I transferred this moisturizer ... MoreIt pains me to write this, I believe in focusing on the quality of a product when doing reviews. This change is truly awful and you should re-evaluate because the moisturizer is excellent but this borderline ruins it.
I have been using this for almost exactly 2 months. I was liking it okay, other than the stinging and hardboiled egg scent. I have not had one single zit for that time, the longest stretch of my whole life, but I think that's more related to using zinc pyrithione soap for perioral dermatitis at the same time (a complete miracle product). I have to discontinue this moisturizer now because even after more than plenty of application, my skin is visibly dry, with the white skin dust and everything, as if I'm not wearing any moisturizer. My skin just guzzles it and is still parched. I have to really load up on my second layer, Versed sunscreen to rely on it as the moisturizer, and it's not very helpful at that either-- going to take the plunge for First Aid Beauty ... MoreI have been using this for almost exactly 2 months. Inkey peptide has also offered no plumping, and forehead lines are accentuated. I think climate is important here... I'm in a high, ultra-dry, wildfire-smoke climate. I think if I lived in Florida and was drowning in humidity, this product could be excellent.
This Peptide Moisturizer is SO soothing upon application, it is a relief to use after washing to restore the moisture barrier. The rosacea redness on my cheeks settles in no time with the anti-inflammatory properties of this light, fragrance free lotion. I have experienced no rebound redness. The instructions call for a pea sized amount for the face, which would provide an awfully sparse application. On clean skin the spreadability of the product is really good. I use it on top of serums and other treatments; It does NOT cause pilling of my other products, but using it on top of them reduces the spreadability quite a bit, so I end up using more of the product. No big deal, but I hope they come out with a larger sized tube in the future. I've only used this product in the tube packaging. I ike the wide mouthed tube, because when you get to the end, you can just snip off the seam and access the remaining product easily. Some products that come in pumps prevent you from accessing all of the product. I HIGHLY recommend this moustuizer!
I liked the results from other peptide products I have tried, so I decided to give this a shot. I have rosacea and this moisturizer is incredibly soothing on contact and given 30 minutes to an hour, my cheeks settle remarkably and my tone looks a lot more even. I feel that my pores are less noticeable during use, and the anti-inflammatory properties of the peptides help the remnants of acne breakouts clear nicely in conjunction with the adapalene gel that I use on my T-zone. The directions call for a pea sized amount for the face, which would be a pretty sparse application. On bare skin, the spreadability is good, and if I use it as a last step over serums at night, I find the spreadability diminishes and I use more product. It layers nicely with everything I have used it with so far with no pilling. I have used it around my eyes, and did not experience any migration or irritation. The consistency is pretty light, and I LOVE that it does not give me a greasy sheen - it is perfect for no makeup days and stressed-out-skin rest days because it is so calming. I have been using it all Summer and don't feel suffocated or like my skin can't breathe. **I have never received this product in anything other than the current squat little tube. I actually really like the tube because when I've used most of the moisturizer and it is no longer squirting out, I can just snip off the top third of the tube and easily access every last bit of product. So many skincare pumps are totally sealed so you can't get what is left in the chamber when it no longer pumps out - that's wasteful and bugs me. Also, the tube and cap can be rinsed and recycled.
I love this product. My skin is on the dry side so I apply this at night. I love the creamy texture and the minimal scent (I'm not sure what strong scent others are referring to). I wake up in the morning and feel moisturized. I genuinely enjoy applying this to my skin. But they just cannot get it right with the packaging and it is becoming very frustrating. The original packaging was a jar with a pump lid. The pump worked well until there wasn't enough product to power it. Then, you could just open the lid and use your hands. The 1.7 oz size lasted months with this packaging. They recently(ish) changed to this tube and it is even worse than the jar. As others have stated, it is difficult to squeeze. On top of that, I've had not one but two of them burst in the top left corner - one during air travel. I ended up cutting the tops off of both and scraping the remaining product out with a spoon into a travel-sized plastic jar. And from cutting them open I can promise you there is less product than the jar had. I hate to abandon this product but that might be the last straw for me. I am sampling some alternatives in the hope I can find something I like as much as this.
