The Ginger People Organic Minced Ginger 190g

We love putting ginger in our teas, mostly. When we buy it fresh in produce, it dries out before we have it all used up. So when I saw it offered this way, I was so excited. And it did not disappoint.

A staple for my pantry and fridge

I frequently make ramen bowls, stir fry, and lots of traditional Chinese dishes, so having good ginger in the house is a must. My spouse does not like the dry powdered variety, and keeping frozen roots on hand for long term storage is a hassle sometimes. This is the PERFECT solution. Super fine grind- it can be added to anything. Really kicks up the flavor!

And suddenly, the box is all gone ...

Ginger yumminess. It is hotly sweet - each cubed bit of ginger is covered in granulated sugar. Not too much - just the perfect amount to make the ginger the best thing since .... well, I dunno. It's just really good. You have one, and then you have another ... and then one more because they're so good. All of a sudden, the box is empty. And what a sad moment that is ...

Complements All My Asian Dishes

This product has made my life better because I love ginger, especially if it's organic, but I don't love mincing it.It complements all my Asian dishes so far. I can even munch on a teaspoon as is.I'd love it even more if they offer a version without added sugar.

Even better than I hoped!

Wow, this is some of the, if not the best ginger root I have ever tasted; on top of that, it's ORGANIC!The taste is a rich, juicy ginger flavor with a little sweetness. This ginger product comes in a paste-like form, which makes it quite versatile; like using it to easily smear a little dab on-top of sushi, or to mix into dough to bake some very nice cookies!The container it came in was a pretty generous size for the price tag, and if you know ginger root, a little goes a long way; and this stuff goes the mileage.There's only 3 ingredients in this glass jar, and they are all organic: ginger, sugar, and rice vinegar.With so many products out there with a laundry-list of science-sounding ingredients, like sodium acid pyrophosphate, tertiary butylhydroquinone ... MoreWow, this is some of the, if not the best ginger root I have ever tasted; on top of that, it's ORGANIC!The taste is a rich, juicy ginger flavor with a little sweetness. Gratitude for This Product!

Thank you for doing the ginger grating for me. If there is one thing I dislike, it's grating ginger, so finding this product has simply made my day. I can't express the gratitude I feel when I can just take a scoop and add it to my cooking instead of having little shavings stuck to my countertop and on the floor. AND the flavour is amazing too!!

How Ginger Should Taste

1st time trying this product. I opened the jar simply to taste it, and was amazed at how flavorful this is. I've never had ginger taste so pure and clean....not even the supposed "fresh ginger root" that's sits in stores for who knows how long. The price is very reasonable, added sugar really isn't a great concern. As someone who is always making Asian dishes, this is now my go-to. My days of messy peeling and grating are over and/or running out last minute for ginger. Highly recommended and will absolutely purchase again.

I love ginger! But what a pain to peel the root and it dries up fairly quickly. This product in a jar is sooo convenient and easy to use. Even for ginger tea!Love it!

Not strong enough flavor

I was really looking forward to giving this a try because it's convenient. Unless you honestly used half the jar for a recipe, there just not a strong enough ginger flavor. As another reviewer mentioned there is a little sugar added, which may take away from the ginger flavor.

Yummy Ginger .....

I love this product. I don't even use a spoon (it's the texture of pure). I tip a dollop straight from the jar into whatever I'm cooking. I've just made a lovely base for my (vegetarian) chicken curry from 'Turmeric Merchant Organic Turmeric Paste' (also purchased from Holland and Barrett), some lovely 'Ginger Party Organic Minced Ginger', a hearty helping of course ground black pepper and 5 to 6 twists from the course ground 'Pink Himalayan Rock Salt' mill grinder as well as a teaspoon of sweet tie chilli and some smoked paprika. I've added a few other spices in there (top secret recipe lol) but as always, the base ingredients were quickly heated for a minute in a generous helping of pre-heated extra virgin olive oil before the quorn chicken was added and tossed ... MoreI love this product. I've added a few other spices in there (top secret recipe lol) but as always, the base ingredients were quickly heated for a minute in a generous helping of pre-heated extra virgin olive oil before the quorn chicken was added and tossed around for a couple of minutes followed by 5 large (fresh) chopped tomatoes. Lower the heat down and stir for 4 to 5 minutes as it gently breaks the tomatoes down into a sauce and bubbles into a masterpiece. Served on a bed of basmati rice (which was on the boil the whole time). Lovely meal which took under 10 minutes to make. Yummy !!!
