I have some of the most sensitive skin out of many people that I meet (eczema, acne prone, combination skin that is allergic to practically everything). I live in a dry, cold climate that is harsh on my skin and often leaves it red and dryer than normal. After reading several reviews and hearing great things, I decided to try out the cucumber toner. W O W! Within one use, I noticed my skin was softer and my acne was less raised and pronounced in my breakout areas. After my second use, I noticed my pores seemed cleaner and less visible— again, no allergic reaction or negative effects. This product is truly wonderful, and after a few weeks of using it my skin is looking better and better. Truly a wonderful, naturally effective solution to a lot of everyday skin problems.

Does a great job of getting off any of the day's leftover gunk that my nightly cleansing might have missed and does a great job of making my pores seem smaller. Are they actually smaller? I don't know--I don't sit and measure my pores but I have received many compliments from friends and coworkers saying my face looks very "glowy" or "healthy." Seeing as adding this product to my routine is the only change I have made, I will attribute the glow to this. My skin is also very sensitive and starts itching or getting tiny allergy bumps with a lot of products and this does not irritate my skin at all. Will definitely buy again.

I love Thayer’s toners! My only complaint is this particular scent is really off-putting. I purchased expecting a cucumber-melon scent, but this product is purely cucumber. It’s my own fault for assuming there’d be melon notes to add sweetness, but I just really dislike the earthy, vegetal scent of the toner. Some people, however, might enjoy the smell, so I realize this is a subjective issue. Apart from the scent, the product works well and lives up to the high quality expected of Thayer’s toners. I’ll stick to the rose scent from here on, though.

I bought the Thayers Cucumber Facial Toner a few days ago. I have extremely sensitive skin and can only use a few products offered on the market. I really thought Thayers would aggravate my skin, so I used a minimal amount. It actually made my skin feel clean and calm. It dosen't leave a residue or feel heavy on my face. The smell is calming and it really cleaned my pores. I really really like this product line and am excited to try the other fragrances.
This is a great toner, but my God the smell of it is so bad. It smells like a cucumber that got forgotten in your fridge for weeks on end and turned to mush (totally not speaking from experience). If you’re sensitive to scents, steer clear of this. Otherwise, it’s a very good product! I might have to try other variants of this line and see if they perform as well as this one.
There is nothing more refreshing than a cold toner, with a scent of cucumber. This toner works great after removing your makeup with a cleanser that has oil in it. The scent was not overbearing and this toner did not dry my face out like some I have tried in the past. Overall my skin feels and looks healthier, with no break outs or excess oil. I definitely recommend this toner if you need something to balance your skin without drying it out.

I have dry skin and my skin welcomes this toner and absorbs it quickly.The scent is a light refreshing cucumber scent. The scent isn't overpowering or heavy, it is subtle and goes away quickly after applying.This toner does a great job at absorbing and prepping the skin for skincare. It doesn't moisturize on its own, however, it works well with other products to give your skin a healthy glow.I like using this toner as a part of my routine, it helps the rest of my routine in leaving my skin softer, healthier and looking radiant. Well here comes Thayers to the rescue with a product that soothes and hydrates without the drying effects of alcohol. They were able to come up with a way of extracting witch hazel that doesn't use alcohol and I am absolutely in love with the result. I've been using this consistently since getting it and really can see a different in the tone of my complexion. It feels and looks cleaner, pores are a tad bit smaller and it just feels hydrated and nourished. I bought this a couple of weeks ago on a whim. I had used one other toner and it used to sting my skin and make me feel prickly. I’d always heard really good reviews about this brand but never tried it because I’m kind of wimpy and anything I try that’s new backfires in me. Anyway, I swiped this on after washing my face one day and waited for that familiar sting — and nothing! It soothed my face immensely. My skin softened and my skin even seemed a little brighter in the mirror. In one use. It’s safe to say I will probably never use any other type of toner. Also, the smell is amazing. It’s light and breezy. Always, always a plus.
