I got these in an 8 women's. Great comfort, attractive, not too wide, and nice camping shoes. I think these are a little short in the slipper mode, but when I pull the back up they are a very good fit. Hinch 4 stars. If I decide to get another pair, I would probably get them in the unsex size from reading some of the new reviews. Got the black with the gold pull tab on top. Very nice cozy camping slippers. Need to make these in half sizes, but they aren't.... go figure. I normally wear an 8 according to the fit. I tried on a pair of these in a W-8 in a store and they were a better fit. Tells me that some differences occur, better to try on and buy when you find right color and fit in store. I had such high hopes for these! So many good reviews, lots of good recommendations. I went to my nearest REI to try them on and talked with someone who owns or has owned a few pairs in both women's and men's. When I found that one shoe seemed to be elevated in an area of the sole in a way the other wasn't, she recognized what I was talking about, disappeared in the back for a bit, and came back with another pair—same color and size—for me to try. But not both of them, only the one for the right foot.Sure enough, the sole was more even.I tried two different colors in two different sizes each, and also tried the men's, and there was the same phenomenon—each sole and even just the shape of the shoe was different in ways that weren't just a loose stitch here or too ... MoreI had such high hopes for these! But upon trying them again at home, I knew it just wouldn't work. They fit too weirdly and not symmetrically enough; I would've ended up with sores and aches I didn't need from a shoe that's supposed to be for camp. And it's not that my feet are perfectly symmetrical—far from it, which is why it didn't even cross my mind that there might be a manufacturing discrepancy. The colors are nice and they look good too, but these just didn't work for me. Or for my partner. Or for the veteran REI worker—until she could find a mix-and-match pair that worked well enough, and then she had to work, imo, unreasonably hard to break them in.You might have a different experience, especially given the wide range of experiences reported here, and I genuinely hope that they work for you. I want to also recommend that you definitely go try them on first.(Also, I clicked an answer for the overall fit accidentally; they don't really fit true to size but they also don't really run that large nor very small. They're just all different! But since I couldn't deselect it, I chose "runs large" because that was the most common experience the three of us had across many pairs of shoes.)

Cutie camp shoes
10 April 2023

I found these shoes to be tts. I'm usually a size 6.5 in sneakers/boots and 6 in sandals. Since reviews were so mixed but more said to size up, I got both size 6 and 7 even tho I've never been a size 7. I was right to stick to my usual size 6, it fits like a glove even with socks. Size 7 was huge! I also have wide ish feet. I'd recommend sticking to your usual size down. As for quality, I think it feels pretty sturdy. I mostly got them for flights since the back is soft and collapsible. I've worn them for 3 days straight with 4+ hours of walking each day and they're holding up well so far. Overall, LOVE these! My picky husband even wants a pair for himself! I've already purchased 2 normal ones and one of the mid booties! So comfy.

Decent, but not great for me
12 February 2023

I bought a pair for myself after my wife reported liking hers. I really prefer to wear Teva sandals around the house, but since I live in Colorado, there are times I need something warmer on my feet. And most slippers don't have a real sole, an issue for me since I'm about to turn 63, have back issues and hard floors in about 1/2 of my house. These do have a "real sole" although its not nearly as ergonomic as the well worn Teva minams I otherwise wear around the house, and I find it to be a bit hard and not really padded inside. And the upper is a little snug and not super comfortable for me when I wear them with wool socks for warmth. I'm sure they are fine for others. But for me the comfort level is just not as high as I was hoping for. I admit I am quite finicky ... MoreI bought a pair for myself after my wife reported liking hers. Disappointing and impractical
27 January 2023

I was excited to buy these when I found them on sale (I refused to buy them full price). They seemed like a cool product and were cute in a kind of ugly way. Upon initial try on they were comfy, but after wearing them a bit I've realized they're quite impractical and not the most stable. They're constructed on a sole that feels slightly smaller than the width that the shoe fabric will stretch to. So, it kind of feels like my feet are ever so slightly hanging over the edges of the shoe. I also don't know how practical they are to walk around in outside or if you're just meant to lounge in them. Either way, I wouldn't repurchase them or recommend them to a friend. I'd rather double up on socks and wear some Birkenstocks.

Exactly what I hoped for
8 July 2022

I've been searching high and low for a pair of these in the red/yellow/teal color for about a year now. They look exactly as they did in the picture and are comfortable right out of the box, so I imagine once broken in they'll be even better. Nice thin, but durable sole, making them perfect to use as house shoes or even out and about. I float between a men's 10.5 and 11 so I ordered 11s and they're pretty snug with plenty of toe room, nearly a perfect fit. This was my first order through DSW and I was impressed with the entire experience. These shoes have been sold out on many websites for over a year and they're usually twice as expensive when they do pop up. DSW had my order shipped the next morning and it arrived the day after that. Fits size wise but cushioning is awkward
14 November 2022

I got these to put on when I need to run outside real quick. I don't wear shoes in the house and didn't want to have to put any on when I'm not actually going anywhere. I usually wear a size 5 1/2 to 6. I got these in a 6 and they fit well but are a bit awkward. They are lightweight and somewhat warm but they aren't that comfortable. I can't really explain it but I feel a bit unsteady in them. There's just something about the inside cushioning that causes me to feel like my balance if off even though typically my balance is excellent. Since I am only using them to run to the mailbox or the driveway, it's not a huge deal but worth mentioning. They also aren't very warm. Good house shoes for custom insoles
3 February 2023

I wanted to try these out with my custom insoles; it's been pretty difficult to find shoes that 1) fit them adequately without smooshing my feet and 2) come in designs I actually want to wear. I was a little worried when I first got them--I ordered a size up than my usual (went with size 11) just to make sure they fit my inserts. They fit pretty well once I removed the included insole, but were a still bit tight, which surprised me. I'm usually able to wear my inserts with my normal size 10s, so I was shocked that at a size larger it was still that tight. I thought about returning them, but decided to try them out for a little bit around the house to make sure. They've turned into my everyday shoe. The fit has relaxed considerably, and they are incredibly comfortable to wear. If you're looking for shoes to accommodate medical gear, these have worked well for me.

Love!! Very comfy and supportive!
17 January 2023

These are so fun!! They're very comfy (I'm using them as slippers), but also provide great support. Wearing them all day around the house my feet feel great. I bet they'd be wonderful out and about too! They're warm and cozy but breathable so your feet don't sweat!I did need to exchange for a size up, because they're a little too tight around the foot for me. I have a little bit wider feet, but don't usually have issues. They fit fine in length and weren't crazy tight, but I wouldn't be able to wear them with any socks that were thicker than normal. My friend also had to size up because of the fit around the foot.
