I was initially skeptical about TX-6. While I own and love several other products from Teenage Engineering, I just didn't see a need for a costly portable mixer in my setup. However, a recently released firmware update enabled recording to external drives over USB-C. This feature pushed me over the edge, and I picked up this little guy to replace my 1010 Bluebox. I work with a hybrid desktop synth/modular setup (primarily modular, with an OP-Z frequently used for percussion).The workflow is intuitive and easy to pick up; reminiscent of ALM's Pam's New Workout or MFX modules. High price aside, I recognize some people don't like tiny, battery-powered devices; I'm thrilled by them. Now that TX-6 is a recorder as well as a mixer, I found it to be an excellent addition to my collection.

The latest firmware update allows recording mixes to usb drive which is fantastic besides the awesome mixer, audio interface, studio quality effects and bonus synth drum feature. Expensive but super portable battery powered device.
Was very curious to see how this feels in reality and really love it. Great quality, feels sturdy and is inspiring and fun to use. Makes me want to make music. I especially like that it frees me from my studio desk, I can set this up with some synths anywhere. Pretty pretty good
Too small and not practical. When you turn the knobs be careful if you touch the others by accident. Also the wires needed are thinner than normal. Not very practical.
I love this thing! So good as a mixer, fix unit, audio interface, live recorder and the synth drum engine is the cherry on top. It’s easy to get started with and fun to use. The only challenge are that the input jacks are too close together so I had to buy the TE skinny cables. I am using the TX6 more than my other mixers.
the battery life is incredible and tx6 has many hidden features (disk recording, mic input, etc) feels like a swiss knife multi-tool for making music on the goworks really well with other portable gear like ios and android devices, synths, samplers and bidirectional midi control (usb or bluetooth)
