Very sturdy phone if a bit heavier than it's plastic backed rivals. This one is glass backed (perhaps a bit too smooth)? but feels nice and solid. Battery life is very good and it's the first phone I've owned with NXTVISION which gives an extraordinarily enhanced display. Camera is the best I've seen on other phones and with the 6.0gb + 128gb memory & storage (both upgradable) it more than meets my needs. If there's a downside it would be the dual sim set up. Space for an additional sim would make this perfect for personal and business use but for this price I can live with this. Incidentally: TCL are one of the worlds biggest TV manufacturers and this certainly shows in their ability to make a phone with an amazing screen.

The bad news - the description for this phone does not indicate that it is not a "NEW' phone but rather a phone that is rated a Grade "B" item. From the VIPOutlet web site :"REFURBISHED GRADE B Inventory has been inspected, tested, and restored to the original manufacturer’s operating specifications. I’ve come to hate this phone. Thankfully it was only 200$ at Walmart. The voicemail didn’t work right from day 1. The notification bar is a mess and you can’t expand and read notifications from inside the bar, so they often get missed and lost. My screen cracked (not TCL’s fault) but they are unable/unwilling to make replacement parts available to the repair shops. I’ve tried many different reminder apps and adjusted settings, but none work right or notify me like they’re supposed to…never had this problem on other phones. Now, contacts from my phone book no longer show up when I get calls…just the phone number…so I have no idea who’s calling me at any given time…basically, the phone fails at one of the most basic phone duties…having a contact list. Its a great phone but I found an issue in the programming. When the bluetooth is on it sends all the ringtones, text alerts, alarms to your earpiece or speaker. . The phone itself will not ring or sound. So if you lose the phone good luck calling to find it unless you turn your earpiece off. Same for alarms as well. it will send everything bluetooth. Done been late for work four times this week and got old phone out and hooked up just for the alarm. The coverage is great I have not lost signal but also theres no 5G yet in my neighborhood. Battery life is great two days on my charge. i surf youtubes and talk with family about 2 hrs every morning. And I use an Mpow headpiece. It does the same on my Parrot headpiece. I've owned this phone now for about 4 months and it's one of the best phones I have ever had. I've had $1000 phones that didn't work as well as this, and the battery is so much better than my last big money phone. I would recommend this phone to anyone that looking to switch to a new phone, but don't want to pay those ridiculous prices for phones that don't last for more than a few updates. At this price, I could have bought 3 phones, compared to my last one, and it works awesome. Fast and takes decent pictures, and battery life is great. I do still have my other phone that I use the camera on, because it's got a really good camera, so I may as well use the phone instead of leaving it in a drawer to rot. The price point is fantastic for this TCL and build quality is as good as most flagship phones of other brands. Battery life is excellent, only have to charge overnight and it lasts all day. Sadly, this phone is lacking an always on display clock, has no notification lights and biometric unlocking features do not always work. Not all apps are available for this phone, even some of Verizon's own apps. The visual voice mail doesn't work and most apps work with glitches. The phone randomly powers down and you have no way of knowing it unless you try to wake the phone up. The touchscreen responds well and the phone is lightning fast. The 5G ... As far as the camera, seems to take pretty good pics, the video part uses a rolling shutter so it usually produces a "jello" effect in the video, so it's not a very good video camera. I purchased on Cyber Monday for $80 %26 shipped me not only the cheapest wrong phone they had but REDURBISHED and used as well! When i contacted Walmart i stated i did not want a refund bc it was now DOUBLE the cost, they said seller could send a replacement no problem! (bc they are third party). Contacted seller %26 stated wasnt allowed to send replacement! Contacted Walmart 3 more times which THEY contacted seller and have final warning to send my replacement %26 STILL REFUSED! Walmart had to refund me, give me a free $10 gift card for troubles %26 find me not to worry about shipping his crappy phone back!!! EXCELLENT SERVICE FROM WALMART THOUGH!

I have been without the ability to text or receive calls since Friday, September 30- it is now Wednesday.Apparently, TCL had a software update that was pushed to my phone (found this out from Verizon tech services).
