Tarte Cosmetics Maracuja Juicy Lip Crème - Lotus

I recently purchased the Tarte Maracuja Juicy Lip Balm in the shade Peachy Beige and I'm so impressed! The color is absolutely beautiful and perfect for everyday wear. If I had to describe this shade, I would describe it as “your lip color, but better.” It's a great neutral shade that adds just the right amount of color to my lips. The formula is so smooth and hydrating, it glides on easily and feels so comfortable on my lips. It's also very nourishing, and helps keep my lips feeling soft and moisturized all day long. I love that it has a subtle shine to it, which gives my lips a healthy, natural-looking glow. I wouldn’t say that it’s actually plumping, though. I really wanted to love this product, I really did! The package is minimal yet chic pleasing to the eye! You click it, like a pen, no more mess the color Rose, is SOOO beautiful!!! The formula itself, to me, is kind of weird not my favorite texture! It's moisturizing, at first, but it does NOT last at all! Maybe 15 minutes tops! The formula is thick sticky! It IS moisturizing! I just wish it was a bit thinner in consistency a little less sticky! The Rose shade is VERY natural! It's not really pigmented at all! As far as the plumping goes right after applying you can see a slight plump look, nothing extravagant but with leaving my lips so moisturized it does look good on. I love the formula, it’s glossy without being sticky or gummy. Gives your lips a perfect flush of color, keeping them looking healthy and natural. The only downside is that isn’t not overly long lasting. After a couple hours it does start to fade and I find I have to reapply. This lip product is also a click button application, which I kims of like to give me what product to use then and there. I don’t mind reapplying it every few hours because I do like that initial tingly feeling, plus I love the feel of putting this on, fresh color and gloss always gives me a little pick me up. The color range is good, I’ve actually bought 3 more of these I like them so well. Keeps your lips nourished and hydrated while giving your pout a glossy flush of healthy, natural colors. I definitely recommend this product, all my friends have purchased one. Great product from a great brand, affordable, and look amazing on.

Fun, beautiful color and very moisturizing

I’m really enjoying the kiwi. I was expecting it to apply green and smell like kiwi, it did neither of those and that was a bit disappointing. I still gave it 5 stars though because the smell is wonderful, it smells a bit tropical (maybe like a piña colada). It went on clear at first then changed to a beautiful shade of pink. For each person it will very a bit based on your ph which is fun. My daughter ( who is mixed ) also used it and hers turned a bit darker shade than mine and it looked just as beautiful on her. I might need to buy another one now because she is trying to steal mine. I also love how moisturized my lips felt and the cute gold applicator it comes in. Hydrate & Shine

I really have LOVED the Tarte Maracuja juicy lip plump line, especially the baby pink rose color in the first release.* I love it so much I immediately decided to try the new pink shade of "Big Ego" to add a brighter pink to my lips. The product is amazing: it feels nice and cool on the lips, it applies very smoothly, it is not sticky, it has an intoxicating scent of coconut, and is hydrating. It goes on glossy and has a bright pink pigment. However the color is not a great shade of pink for me. That is not to say it's not pretty; it just doesn't work with my skin tone. I don't love coral hues and this reminds me of coral. It's definitely adds more color if you like your lips to really pop. I am just so in love with these maracuja juicy lip plumping glosses! They feel incredibly smooth and creamy on the lips without being sticky or tacky. They feel like a plump cushy balm with a stunning glass like shine. I'm obsessed with the cooling minty feeling that these have on the lips! The colors are all gorgeous so much so that after getting 3, I picked up 3 more during the Ulta 21 days of beauty! Primrose is a gorgeous your lips but better pink shade, cherry blossom is a beautiful soft baby pink, white peach is a gorgeous spring peach color, and honeysuckle is a sheer yet rich mauve berry tone that really enhances the color of the lips. I love them all! The plumping formula is far superior in my opinion because they feel so much thinner on the lips, have the fresh cooling feeling, and have less of a coconut scent and more of a light minty smell and taste. These are also super long lasting and leave the lips feeling hydrated for a while! Overall, I highly recommend these glosses!

Juicy and Feels PLUMPED

This shade is really good as a lip topper or as a nude with brown lip liner. It definitely starts working within seconds and they STAY feeling plumped. So if you're not into that feeling, I'd probably not get this. But I absolutely love that feeling. My lips don't feel greasy which is what I love the most about this. I've been trying to get into the lip oil trend but I just can't because I can barely handle the stickiness of gloss. I like sticking to hydrating balms and tints. This one is uniquely a plumping balm with good pigment. Clicking it is also so satisfying it itches a scratch in my brain. One downside is that you'll probably have to blend with your fingers after application because it's like a balm with pigment and leaves some transparent marks.

My new go to!

Very Sheer, Bad Taste

I love so many Tarte products, but not this one. I chose the shade Honeysuckle after seeing it on a YouTuber and it looked like a deep color that showed up well. It looks totally different on me, even though that person has a similar skin tone. It's super sheer, hardly any pigment. I have very pale skin, my shade matches are the KVD foundations in 002 and EL DW in Alabaster for reference, so color shows up easily on me, but not this time. I don't like wearing light or sheer colors, I need deeper or brighter shades to give some life to my face, without a pop of color I can look sickly.I don't lick my lips but I can taste this because it's such a melty formula, it gets in the mouth. Only a thin layer can be used or else it moves around too easily and migrates and smears outside the lip line. It has a very cooling, icy, minty feel that's really strong, but it doesn't hurt. The taste is really unpleasant, it's not a sweet mint, it's just a bad chemical taste. It feels moisturizing and it's not a thin formula, but it's not the most cushiony and thick. When the lips are well hydrated and moisturized they do look bigger just because of that, so this does give my dry lips a plumper, moisturized look.I noticed it was mostly gone after an hour of wear time without me eating or drinking anything.I have the Nyx fat oil in Status Update and it gives more pigment than this product without any taste or feel.
