PAC-Man Nano Tamagotchi Black

I love this virtual pet! I love Pac-Man and tamagotchis so the collaboration Pac-Man Tamagotchi was so much fun for me. One thing to keep in mind is that this is not exactly like a full sized tamagotchi; it’s a smaller, more egg shaped version, with less functions and requires less attention. The Tamagotchi Nanos are very simple - they’re all in black and white with no backlit screen; there is no status menu so you’ll have to press the C button to check on (read the directions) what the Tamagotchi needs; you can only feed the Tamagotchi meals until it’s full; give snacks and play 1- 6 games (this one only has 2 which are Pac-Man themed and very reminiscent in sound and visual effects of the Pac-Man game) to make it happy; turn off the lights when the Tamagotchi goes ... MoreI love this virtual pet! Additionally, this one is special because the audio doesn’t use the usual Tamagotchi sounds, but sounds like Pac-Man audio clips (hello, nostalgia!)! You raise a tamagotchi and can even get a special character (spoiler alert - your Tamagotchi riding on Pac-Man’s back) based on your care. If this sounds like the virtual pet for you and Pac-Man brings a smile to your face, this is definitely a fun, no stress toy. It’s surprisingly not very loud, but you could turn the sound off if you prefer. I wish it had more games but really enjoy the ones included. This brings so many warm, nostalgic memories for me.

A blast from the past!

I had a Tamagotchi when I was growing up in the 80's. Took it everywhere. This reimagined Pacman version is really cool. As with old version, after "hatching" your pet, you begin feeding, entertaining, and protecting it right away. I love that there are mini Pacman games, included, to keep Tamagotchi happy. The surprise ghost and bug attacks keep you on your toes! Set up, feeding, and games are super easy to handle. Care schedules are really lenient, giving the player plenty of time so you need not be tethered to the device to have fun with it - and so you don't "kill" your pet.As the growing begins, the suprise of what Tamagotchi you get, is always fun. If by chance you can't keep it "alive", there's always a reset button so you can try again. For a simple toy, ... MoreI had a Tamagotchi when I was growing up in the 80's. Took it everywhere. It would delight an 80's memorabilia collector, but is really a fun way to pass the time.

Brings back my childhood

Now for this this brings back my childhood and playing my favorite game. This is a fun game when sitting around the house with nothing else to do. It’s easy to get lost in it. I can easily play it for a while before I realize what time it is and I probably should be doing something else around the house. This would be perfect for those doctor visits when nothing else to do because now days you surely don’t want to thumb through a magazine. Teens would even enjoy this along with younger kids. It’s eye catching, entertaining, and fun for everyone.

My 9 year old son likes this toy

I got this for my 9 year old son and he really likes it a lot. It is a pacman game with many levels and he says he really likes that. He likes that there are a mix of hard and easy games. He said it is a mysterious fun toy. In the game it hatches an egg and he doesn't like that it takes a minute or two to hatch. This is a cute little toy in my opinion and it has a little chain that could allow you to use it as a key chain or hook it to a backpack. Although I think it could easily break apart so you may not want to do that. One bad thing about it is that it has a little plastic piece that could be easy to lose. Its a strip of plastic that goes inside and you need to insert it to turn if off. It appears to take a very small battery perhaps a button battery but we ... MoreI got this for my 9 year old son and he really likes it a lot. Nice throwback

I received this product in good condition minimal packaging. The set up was fairly easy. I have to admit I was excited about getting a toy like the ones from back in the day, a (throwback)! Needless to say my teenage son was not interested as he is a product of the advanced technology of today. He did not think that “taking care “ of a toy was fun! (Lol). It has no color or touch screen as he is used to and it’s kind of small. My older kids used to love the tamagotchi toys back in the day. I would send up “taking care” of them but they were still good toys for the time. I personally think it’s cute and cool to have as a reminder of simpler times.

So tiny!

The Pac-Man Tamagotchi is a ‘nano’ sized Tamagotchi, meaning it is much smaller than the original full sized tamagotchis. It has fewer features than a full sized tamagotchi normally does. The device itself is only approximately one and a half inches tall, one inch wide, so it is very small. It is also much more rounded, more similar to an egg than a full size. It is great for little hands, but may disappoint someone who may think it is the same as a full sized or the new ON’s so be aware! The best part of this toy is that it’s not just the case that’s designed with PacMan! There are two different Pac-Man related games you can play to raise the Tamas happiness level. You can feed it cherries and chase away ghosts when they come around. It doesn’t have the ‘clean poo’ feature but instead that has been replaced with the ghosts that show up periodically. You will need to press the button to ‘clean’ them up or they will build up, much like the poo does on a regular Tamagotchi. It is much simpler to keep your tamagotchi alive than the regular ones, only requiring these three things be done to keep them alive. Unfortunately there is no status screen since it is so small so you can’t tell your tamagotchis happiness or hunger meter. There is also no backlighting and the small size makes it clumsy to handle.

The classic!

The old classic millennials will remember. No issues, working fine. This one is pac-man themed and I'm so excited day kids will ge tto experience one of my fave childhood toys! Squeeeeeee!! Don't forget to feed your pet, haha. I will prolly need to buy like 4 more after my kids get addicted to them. Finally an electronic toy I actually understand . Been reliving my adolescence ever since this arrived. My old one was baby-themed but the pac-man one is even cooler. My kids don't even know what pac-man is (I have failed them!) so now I'll be digging around finding any old classic games and toys to share with them.

Tiny and not full featured, but cute

So this is a nano sized tamagotchi and as the name implies , it's tiny. It's also a simpler version-- which is fine if all you want is some simple fun-- and if it dies you can simply reset it and start again. There are no meters to tell if it's happy or needs something and the directions are hit or miss. You press the c button to see if it's happy or not and then feed it food or cherries and then play one of the 2 simple games with the a and b buttons. And they are small and close together-- not for big fingers. It's not overly involved but can be fun if that is something you like. So depending on your perpsective andwhat you are looking for the negatives can be postives and vice versa.

Tiny simplistic little friend

I got this for my 10 year old son. He was excited to get his Tamagachi pet. He came into it expecting good things. He carried around with him for a few days solidly but we kept having to play lost and found with it because it is so tiny. I tried to get him to put it on his lanyard but he didn’t like that idea. Once he had to restart when it died because it was lost for a couple of days. He was ok with that though because it regenerated as a dog. I was trying to figure out how to get to the games and accidentally made the it start over. I didn’t even think that could happen without the reset button on back but I did and he was quite upset. He said that the games are too simple and boring. I played them and they are ok for such a simple toy in my opinion but I grew up ... MoreI got this for my 10 year old son. He said that the games are too simple and boring. I played them and they are ok for such a simple toy in my opinion but I grew up in the 70’s where nearly all of my toys were simple. I was hoping it was like the Pac-Man game I grew up with but it’s really too small to have that. One game is three lines and you bounce between lines trying to avoid ghost and eat dots. One thing that I noticed that is different from a full size tamagachi is there are no meters indicating how full the fun or food are so it’s harder to gauge what is needed. We’ve had this toy for a few weeks and we still don’t have a fully evolved pet and my son has lost interest. I think some kids might really enjoy this but my son did not.
