As so many reviews say, this really is a brilliant product. We bought a Safety 1st wooden high chair from Amazon for our first child and although it's absolutely fine, the Stokke is a different class. It's a lot easier to put together. Manufacturing is more accurate and the fittings are much higher quality. If you can afford the extra ÂŁ100 then I'd recommend the investment. The mint colour is also great and more interesting the black/grey/natural colours available with the cheaper imitations.

We bought these after our toddlers outgrew their traditional high chairs and they have been excellent chairs for the transition! The chairs go perfectly with our dining room table and allow the kiddos to sit with their feet firmly planted. These are extremely well made and you can tell they will last for quite some time. I’m grateful you can buy the chairs separately since we didn’t use them for the infant for small toddler stage (the accessories are all so ridiculously expensive, especially if you have twins that can’t share!). The assembly was also quick and easy. The experience with Magic Beans was also seamless. It was easy to place the order and then the chairs shipped well in advance of the estimate (though I know that was on the manufacturer’s end). Pros:- keeps my baby (6 month old) in a really good position: upright and supported- good for young babies and older as you adjust chair as they grow- easy to clean- quality build and sturdy- looks great and legs don't stick out (no tripping over it!)Cons:- delayed delivery (although I was kept well informed)- expensive compared to the average highchair- assembly is more tricky than other more basic designs- I really struggle to unclip the harness as it's too stiff

I was sent the Stokke Tripp Trapp High Chair by the Stellar Product Testing Panel to try out in exchange for my personal opinion and review. I will start by saying that I was skeptical that I would like this highchair. It is a little unusual looking, not like the traditional high chair-it looks very European. The assembly seemed pretty easy. My husband put it together in a short amount of time. My son is currently 3.5 months old and in the stage where he wants to be a part of everything. We used this along with the newborn set so that he can be in the kitchen with us while we are cooking & eating dinner, and we no longer have to lug our cumbersome baby bouncer back and forth to the kitchen. We used this along with the newborn set so that he can be in the kitchen with us while we are cooking & eating dinner, and we no longer have to lug our cumbersome baby bouncer back and forth to the kitchen. I am especially pleased with the versatility of the chair, as we can also quickly set it up for my 2.5 year old daughter to use as well. She is able to sit at the table and work on activities like coloring, painting, etc. Before, we had to use a booster seat for her to be at the correct height for easy access to the table, and this chair has a setting that allows her to not have to use a booster. This chair is also stylish, so I don't mind leaving it out in the open if we have company over. Traditional high chairs are all usually plastic so I normally am ready to get those out of the kitchen as soon as the baby stage is over. I would give this product 5 stars, except took off 1 star based on affordability. The chair is a bit expensive, and you still have to buy some accessories to go with it like the newborn set. For the same price, you could buy a standard high chair and have everything you will ever need. However, I do understand the benefit of this is that it can be used forever and even go to adulthood.
I absolutely love the Tripp Trapp high chair. It is high quality, stylish, but my favorite part is that my baby can sit comfortably in it. He is 5 months and has great posture from sitting in this. He loves sitting in it and is always comfortable. He loves having something to put his feet on. I chose this chair instead of another high chair because of the adjustable foot rest. He is a tall baby, but what I realized is that those stationary footrests would not accommodate him as he grew and would only be the right level for his feet placement for a short time versus this high chair that will grow with him as he grows allowinghim to continue to sit comfortably and supported. I LOVE this product and think it is absolutely worth the money.
This is a lovely high chair, it's not bulky so added benefit allows easy use to push up to your dining table, as well as using with the high chair attachment to keep little one safe. I would recommend purchasing the straps/reins to give the additional protection of a toddler who attempt to climb out of the seat. This chair was really easy to put together and stable once done.Benefit of this chair is that it grows with the child. Lovely colour, good quality and looks good.
I bought the chair as part of the anniversary sale. This is chair is for my third baby, with the first two I used a peg perego. I should've listened to the low ratings, as they are all true.- Set up is not easy, you will be watching youtube (few times)- The main issue for me, which is why this is a return, is a design flaw. My baby is on a bigger side and the harness can only be used with the baby seat. He is not even one year, but hardly fits into the baby seat, its a struggle to put him in there already, this chair is not for big babies. Apparently, before, the harness could be used without the baby seat, but with the new design, the harness is attached to the baby seat. So annoying, if you have a big baby, think twice before getting this chair.
When I first received this high chair to review as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel I was so excited because my current high chair is very bulky and takes up alot of space in my small dining area. As a mother to a 3 year old and a 1 year old, my first dilemma was who was going to try out the chair first. It took a little longer for me to put together than I had expected, although the directions appear pretty clear, there are no words and after tightening some areas first, I quickly learned that nothing should be tightened until all of the pieces were in place. This is my only complaint for this product and its a relatively small one in that I forsee having to take it apart and put it back together again. This is my only complaint for this product and its a relatively small one in that I forsee having to take it apart and put it back together again. I first put it together and let my daughter try it out. I love that it can be pushed neatly against the table and does not take up any extra room. Because of the step on the bottom she can also maneuver her way in and out of the chair without any assistance. The style and color is gorgeous, yet neutral, and compliments the surrounding furniture. It is also easily unisex so it can be used for both of my children. My daughter likes to call it her big girl chair and I could see her utilizing it for the next several years. My 1 year old was the next to try it out and he also appeared excited to be sitting at the same table as the rest of the family, which his regular high chair could not offer. It was relatively easy to transition the chair from one child to the other by easily snapping on the additional pieces. The chair is lightweight while still remaining sturdy. It is easy to push in and out from under the table even with a thin area rug underneath. Cleaning and wiping it down is simple and the cushions are easy to remove and wash for bigger messes. There is also a tray that can be added if you are unable to utilize a table for eating. This is a great addition to a growing family as it can be used in all different stages of transition. I would highly recommend the Tripp Trapp chair to new parents that can use it for years to come.
Very nice elegant design. I wanted to love it. But tell me why my 6 month old hits his knees coming in and out of the seat. I tried giving the chair 3 chances-He won’t be able to use it in another month. My child is 95% for height and 50% for weight. I utubed so many videos what am I missing here. Not a good design it seems. Also shouldn’t the chair come with straps for older kids? The other stokke chair is better.
I had high hopes for this high chair based on the reviews. I’m not sure why it’s rated so highly?! I wonder if these reviews are paid because it doesn’t make sense? If you have tall children you will not be happy with this. My 12-month old barely fit. He’s 40th percentile for weight and 80th percentile for height. My husband and I fought the tray latch Every Single Time! I had to put my 12-month old on the floor so that I could use 2 hands to get the tray off. It has an extremely poorly designed tray latch that will make you want to pull your hair out, especially if you have a hungry toddler in your hands. We couldn’t wait to pack this up and return it. It has a swivel tray that can be operated with 1 hand, folds up for travel, and has a high back for my toddler to sit back comfortably.Positives: it’s a beautiful chair that will look nice in any dining room, made of solid non-toxic wood, is a sturdy design.
