I bought this accessory to help install heavy commercial steel edging. It worked well for that. After the first pass, I removed the guide wheel and was able to cut down deep enough for the edging.I haven't edged sidewalks in years, just passed over the edge with my FS 90 string trimmer. Since I already had this accessory for my cultivator, why not try? It worked very well for me. It works better and is more controllable while pulling backwards than going forward. I'm happy with the edge it makes and will use it for edging again.

It leaves ragged edges and I was so disappointed. I had such high hopes since the tiller and dethatcher are awesome. Unfortunately this edger causes more work in the end and I wish I could send it back since I used it once and never touched it again.

Sadly I was a bit disappointed. I bought it to trim up the edges of my garden beds for spring readiness. I was expecting a clean line which I got but there was no width. So I used it to make the line and then used a shovel to remove the over growth. It would be great to have a 4 inch width that went down about 2 inches to stir up the soil and leave the perfect edge

Just used this to edge about 100' of bed perimeter and sidewalk. It doesn't cut as cleanly as a step edger. - misses a lot of grass blades. The blade points become covered with grass and dirt. I think a string trimmer spinning vertically would do a better job.
This was so simple to use, the tools go on and off so easy. Edging my sidewalk and drive way took only a few minitues, the grass edging was removed in as long a row as I wanted. I was able to transplant the removed sod to other areas of my yard. I would highly reccomed this attachment for the yard boss.
It works well, not as good as a dedicated trimmer, but well enough that it does the job.
Purchased the FC-MM Edger to edge lawn and flower bed margins and used it without satisfaction for about 4 years. Major problem was it left ragged edges. Took it out yesterday and carefully checked it out to find that the edger blade was mounted opposite of the direction arrow. Changed it and it worked better, but not good enough. Must use string trimmer afterwards to make presentable. Bad design!
This attachment just doesn't cut into the lawn. The blades (cutting arm) are too short and they do not spin fast enough to actually cut the turf, the grass just gets pushed out of the way. The yard boss was not designed to perform high speed tasks, but low speed, high torque tasks, like tilling or dethatching, and not cutting.
works good once you figure out how to do it. Having the wheel kit is a must for this. You have to pull backwards slowly when edging. If you want it to go deep just take the guide wheel off. Works great for installing plastic edging.
