It drops my USB Apple keyboard and the only way to get it to recognize it is to restart my laptop. I am using the current OS and my laptop is 2015.

Features are excellent but do not buy to use with a MacBook Pro 15. Plugging it in and connecting even 1 monitor causes the Thunderbolt ports to warm up so the Mac throttles the CPU.

Perfect! Got my screen working with the Mac Pro 16
I needed a rock solid portable dock that would give me a NIC, USB, and HDMI. This is exactly that: a rock solid solution to the dongle problem. I hang two 4K Samsungs off this dock for video and audio production space, and it runs with no hiccups at a quality that is frankly amazing considering the price of this dock. I would recommend it to any serious information worker that needs solid hardware to support their workflows.

One is a single usb 3.0 port and one Usb 2.0 port. At this point I would have just expected usb 3.0 ports and finally there is no Thunderbolt 3 port to daisy chain devices. This I would have expected especially since some computers are only coming with a single port.Overall this is great for someone with simple needs, I personally would rather have some of the more robust docks that ... This one never connects my 2nd monitor when I start up my computer. I literally always have to unplug and replug my monitor for it to recognize it. My other system has a plugable docking station and it always works (no stupid repluggin required).
I DON'T WRIT REVIEWS! Buuut.. This adapter is quality all the way. Very responsive. Fast data transfer. Quality 4k. Very solid build. I've been abusing it for over a year without an issue. And matches the silver alienware color perfectly. :)It is pricey $$$ but exceeds expectations. It can produce some heat at times but without issue. Be sure to download the driver (for consistency of USB function).
