We purchased a Sony Walkman cassette player. Package had never been opened. However it did not work.

The walkman works good considering it's a fairly old machine. Only problem is it's a mega bass and I didn't think about that when I ordered it. I can live with that and I'm enjoying the walkman. I don't think you can beat a Sony.

Yes! I love it! This is my 3rd one. My first was back in the 1990's when i bought new & that one got used so much & for so long that it finally quit. Then 2 yrs ago i got a used one thru Ebay & got lucky with that one & so then i "used it all up" till it quit a couple mos ago. These are NOT complaints- when these players get used for 100's of hours, they reach the end of their life & something quits on them. But they play tapes PERFECT before getting to the end of their life! The last one i paid only $25 for & loved it for 2 yrs. And now this one i paid only $20 for & i hope to get at least 2yrs out of this one too. Note for people who will need to know: when these players "die"- usually it comes in the form of either the playing speed beginning to become uneven (my ... MoreYes! I love it! This is my 3rd one. But anyway, my main point is that i feel i DEFINITELY got my money & value out of these players & they play totally perfect! But i really wish Sony would begin manufacturing another brand new personal tape player of high quality again- tapes are becoming popular again & i think they'd sell good. I think the few brand new ones manufactured today are no good & not worth the money. You're best off buying a used one from the 1990's on Ebay like i did with this one!
Before Xmas, I bought from eBay what I thought to be a Horrid Henry book. I did not read the description well enough and it turned out to be a tape cassette. I bought it for my grandson for Xmas and as he did not have a cassette player, I bought the Sony Walkman and he was delighted with his presents.
This Sony Walkman Cassette Tape Player & Radio unit functions perfectly . Very low battery usage & very good bass sound quality . A" Best Buy" for the money !
its pretty good. i only play tapes on it so i dont care so much about the radio, but that does work alright if youre in a city. tape player works, plays tapes. batteries last maybe 35 hours. i tecommend getting rechargeable aas so youre not making alot of waste.
Really new looking only I did not know it was not auto reverse. That is ok as I am trying to get two others fix with no luck yet.
