Love this toaster. Looks good, easy controls, and toasts perfectly in no time. It pops the toast up nice and high so no more digging around, almost getting electrocuted and burning my fingers trying to get stuff out the toaster.

On the first day I made toast and toasted bagels. On the second day I tried toasting hot cross buns. It tripped the RCD on the main power board turning off the power to the whole house. That has never happened with any other toaster.I took the toaster back to exchange it and the assistant decided she would test it. She put it on a chair and plugged it in to a corridor socket outlet. The toaster started to smoke and I saw flames inside. I pulled the plug. The assistant poked around in the toaster and pulled out a charred raisin. She then said there was nothing wrong with the toaster. I insisted on a refund as I no longer wanted the same model.

To be fair I have the Smeg kettle and really wanted a pink toaster and needed it to match my kettle, this fits the bill. However as a bonus this actually makes the best toast ever which I wasn't expecting after all a toaster is a toasted right... no this one exceeds my expectations not only does it brown evenly (something I've never achieved before) the toast does actually taste better.
I purchased a Smeg toaster and matching kettle for my kitchen and also as a present for my parents. Both kettles had to be returned before 12 months as they were faulty, The toasters lasted a little bit longer. These items are not cheap and the quality of them is so poor. I returned and purchased a Dualit set. They look equally as good and are very well made. So far, so good. I have lost faith in Smeg and wouldn't purchase anything from the brand again.
We bought the kettle and the toaster from Smeg. The kettle stopped working after the first year but still on warranty and Smeg supplied a brand new one straight away. Service was beyond my expectations. But the toaster has now broker down (one of the shelves inside) a few months after the warranty. A little bit disappointed these appliances have not lasted more than what a standard one would probably do...
Very pleased. Itβs eye catchingly βpretty in pinkβ and efficient and seems well made. It is quite a large small toaster which is fine. Would buy againπ
So, I really wanted a toaster but was put off by poor or indifferent reviews with other brands. It turns out that Smeg toasters have a good track record with reliability. Pricey, but the features are worth the extra money. Pleased as punch.
I went to John Lewis at York to purchase this toaster in pale blue. Really disappointed that it wasn't in stock but the sales assistant said I could order it and it would take 3-5 days or slightly longer which is understandable. I placed the order and 23 hours 45minutes later it arrived at my house. FANTASTIC SERVICE or what and delivery was free and I even got a price match on the never undersold. Now the toaster, it's looks so stylish, is well built, very easy to use and I love the idea of the removable crumb tray. You can reheat toast and even use it for bagels, also you can alter how brown you like your toast. I can honestly say this product is worth every penny and it comes with a two year guarantee which is an added bonus.
