I have to admit I really bought this because it looks so nice but was amazed by the quality of construction got a heavy bottom base it s made of stainless steel and it s pretty organic. Design strongly made brings back. Great memories of listening to the cattle boil and looks great on the stove top, I really think it s worth the price

I just received my kettle. It looks beautiful, but not practical! The handle is a problem. By the time the water boils the handle gets too hot to handle. I have to grip it with a towel to be able to touch it, let alone grip it tight to pour the water. That’s a major flaw. As well, the handle is not flexible, making it very hard to get your hand inside to wash and clean the interior, the handle is in the way.
First of all, the kettle looks stunning and uber-classy! Didn't realize how big it is making it extremely practical in the kitchen.Really amazing, and thank you to the Yuppiechef team for your good and prompt service. Thumbs up all around.
I have wanted a beautiful stovetop kettle for years and always "window shopped" online. I finally settled on a powder blue SMEG Whistling Kettle, and I must admit I am thrilled.Pros: Utterly beautiful, pretty whistle, great quality and quick boil.Cons: I had to choose only 1 colour!Highly recommend. Spoil yourself.
We are very fortunate to have solar energy but, you cannot use an electric kettle as it's too many KWz. Using a kettle on the hob not only saves a lot of electricity it's also 24/7 which is very useful for a wife who drinks 6+ cups of tea a day!!It's not as quick as an electric, tends to make more noise as it rattles on the hob as it warms up, however, it's fit for today's purpose and looks attractive.
You know I bought it for its name, but I’m surprised at how good the product is. It has a decent heavy base on it and it’s made of stainless steel really well constructed and looks beautiful. I think it was worth the money paid for it. The whistle brings back all memories of the good old days for me.
Very disappointed with the product. The paint came off where the lid fits on and the base already has rust on it.Cleaning the product is very difficult once there are marks on it. Saved all my Discovery miles to buy this product and it was a waste of my "money".Will NOT recommend anyone to buy this product.
I would advise Smeg to test their products for durability far more stringently as the coating should not chip, the lid has to be pushed to close and this is how the chips are going to continue to appear.Aesthetically very nice and it is specifically advertised for gas stoves but although it is a Smeg stove gas top - black marks are already appearing on the blue coating around the bottom and I need to know what will remove this, please.Normal mild soap is not taking these marks off!
