Skywatcher 8 Dobsonian Goto Telescope

The Sky-Watcher 8” Dobsonian GoTo Collapsible Telescope is part of the SynScan series of Dobsonian’s. Engineered with precision and care, this telescope is easy to use, extremely portable and performs with pin-point consistency – whilst still being affordable. As with all Dobsonian telescopes, this one also features the patented collapsible tube design. Unlike other truss tubes, the Sky-Watcher Collapsible Dobsonian can remain assembled, transporting in two easy pieces, and can be put together in seconds. Once set up, collimation is simple and will hold all night! For full control, the Tension Control Handle gives you the power to increase or decrease tension, meaning you’re able to control the level of friction between the optical tube and the sideboards. The SynScan AZ hand control gives you the ability to target your telescope at a specific object, or even tour the night sky at just the touch of a button. The menu makes it possible for you to slew to over 42,900 objects. The easy-to-use features make it simple for even a beginner to nail the variety of features in a short amount of time. The dual encoder, Freedom Find, lets you move the telescope manually without the need to re-align it. The telescope can also be moved electronically in either axis through Freedom Find without losing alignment or positional information. Once you’ve moved to your next target your telescope will begin to track it with accuracy!
