I love making homemade soup and taking it to work for lunch. The issue has always, how do I get to work without making a mess, and how do I heat it up without making a mess.This Soup Mug to Go solved both problems.Easy to put my soup in in the morning. I got this for college kid to pack soup for lunch/dinner/late night work. It is used almost every day - it is filled up with fresh home made soup right off the stove and then heated in a microwave when ready to consume. The handy vent at the top helps steam escape if the soup has been heated a bit too hot. It is easy to open and wash in a sink before it comes back home. I am a c6/7 quadriplegic with hand paralysis and these mugs have been a great solution for storing items such as sugar, cocoa, tea, baking soda, salt, cornstarch, spices and so forth. The handle makes it easy to pick up. The lid is easy to remove, can use teeth if necessary. I put a small key ring around the handle in case it drops to the floor. This way I can pick it up with a magnet on a string (for a demo of magnet on string see my instagram post: username imbonnie). I always keep a large folded towel on my lap and these sit stable on my lap towel while I scoop the contents. I used this for my lunch and was very surprised that it didn't spill. The lid was secured and the stew was warm. I didn't open the vent and had to restart the microwave. It is a really good product for anyone to use. Work or school. My husband used it for his Chili and he said that he's taking it now. Thank you.
I make many small gifts each year and came up with the idea of using the soup mugs for a mini gift basket. I filled them with Cup-a-Soup, hot cocoa mix, cookie and Christmas candy and wrapped them in cellophane gift bags. They were a big hit. I love the mugs and use mine daily. They are great for heating a can of soup, veggies or a hot drink.
I really have enjoyed using the Sistema mug. I use it for just about everything. It just the perfect size if you want to heat up a can of soup or freshly made soup, coffee, or hot cocoa. I’ve never have had to worry about it spilling in my tote bag even when it was on its side because the lid has a really tight seal. When you are ready to heat up your soup or drink, you just pop the vent on the top and put the cup in the microwave.
This review is about the inaccurate price. Did not know that this was a Pack of 6. The mugs were loose in the box on the shelf and I bought 1. When I saw that I was charged the pack of 6 price for only 1 mug, I returned it. Went back to the shelf to get the pack of 6 but there were only 2 mugs left from the pack of 6. Obviously others were also fooled when they bought only 1 mug. Bar code on the 1 mug will ring up the pack of 6 price. Walmart needs to fix Inaccurate pricing.

They are so versatile that they can be used to store stuff in the freezer and easily took out to be put in the microwave and ready to eat in just minutes. They come in handy for food like soup, grits, and rice. They come in so many cute colors. That makes it hard to decide which one I like the best. They are easily cleaned and stored after used.
I love this cute little soup mug, and even though we're not all on-the-go these days, it's still a great addition to my plastic wares. I only wish it was made sustainably. This will not be a single use plastic, but it will still take billions of years or whatever to decompose and return to the earth. Unfortunate.
