Sigma 40mm T1.5 Canon EF Mount Cine Lens

The Sigma Cine 40mm T1.5 is a uniquely versatile mid-range prime that offers a natural perspective with a touch more intimacy than a 35mm, making it ideal for character-driven narrative work, interviews, and commercial cinematography. On full-frame cinema sensors, the 40mm provides gentle subject separation while maintaining a realistic sense of environment, making it a favorite for shots that need emotional closeness without sacrificing spatial context. The fast T1.5 aperture supports low-light shooting and provides smooth, cinematic depth control. Optically, the 40mm delivers high resolution, controlled contrast, and minimal chromatic aberration for clean, consistent image quality across the frame. Mechanically, it matches the Sigma Cine lineup’s unified design with a 95 mm front diameter, standardized gear positions, and a smooth 180° focus rotation for precise, repeatable focus pulls. The lens is offered in ARRI PL, Canon EF, and Sony E mounts, each supporting native metadata communication for streamlined on-set and post workflows. With durable all-metal construction, the 40mm T1.5 integrates seamlessly into the Sigma Cine Prime set as a flexible, cinematic mid-range option.
