Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 Orange

The Shokz open run pro 2 are truly premium bone conduction sports headphones that deliver great sound quality. Running with headphones has always been the bane of my existence. From the time of wired headphones to ever the ear headphones to in ear bluetooth headphones, I was never able to find a headphone that did not interfere with my run. I have also tried a different mainstream brand of bone conduction headphones however they were not comfortable to wear at all. As soon as I opened the box and the carrying case for the Shokz open run pro 2 I knew that I had a high quality product in my hands. The headphone were very easy to pair with my iPhone and they immediately showed a 80% charge. The headphone were very easy to pair with my iPhone and they immediately showed a 80% charge. As soon as you start listening to music you find it hard to believe that people standing next to you can't hear much of what is coming out of the headphones. The sound quality makes it feel like I am wearing my in ear Bluetooth headphones. There was not 1 instance during my run where I had to specifically stop to adjust my headphones because they fell off or felt like they were going to fall off. They are so light that you may even forget that they are there on longer runs. I usually have to remove my AirPods once during my run because they start to become uncomfortable after long runs. The battery life should last you well over 12 hours as I am still waiting to charge them for the first time. The headphones can be charged via the USB c port. The headphones are IP55 water resistant so there is no need to worry about them shorting out from sweat. Phone calls sound very clear with adequate amounts of noise cancellation on your runs. I would definitely recommend the Shokz open run 2 pro headphones to anyone looking for new running headphones

Bone conduction is the newest wave in bluetooth headphones and I have to say, that i like the concept of being able to hear your music, streaming show or even the person on the ther end of the line as you talk and multi-task. All while not having to worry about something being stuck inside my earlobes. And I'm one of those people who has to have both earbuds in when I'm using my gear, so I really prefer to have some sort of ambient noise sond mode but also like to be able to close the world off when it is warranted. Boe connduction allows me to do one of these things very well, and that is the ability to have both ears involved in my sound while also allowing me to hear the world around me by having the transmitters on my face rather than in my ears. These are the 2nd pair of Shokz and I really liked the Opencomm UC headphones for the ability to use my PC and my phone with the same bluetooth. Those have a boom mic attached and it gives off that tele-com look and feel even when I'm not in front of my PC. However, they are not gym ready. That's where the Openrun Pro 2 come into play. These do not have that boom mic but offer great sound for the people on the other end, from what I have been told. They've always been comfortable to wear, and yes. I can and have worn them all day. These are water resistant. With an IP55 rating and these also have a very nice battery life( 12 hours of listening) should ge t you through your work day and workout or at least, it works for me.) The charger is now a Type C port, rather than the 2 prong magnetic piece from before. The case is always a cool touch and they look good. These things are rubbery and flimsy, yet tough. You can wear them on your head or neckfor extended periods, but why, when you've got a tough case to stow them in when on in use. The controls are easy to use as there's an all-in-one button for answering/hanging up, play/pause & forward and previous track. It just just takes a few button presses. The volume buttons shares the duties with the power and pairing button( one in the same.) The sound quality is exceptional for something that doesn't enter your lobes. I do wish there was a bit more BASS, but of course that would require some enclosure of the ears. But this does work well with my workouts, mostly cardio. There is some mild discomfort when lifting weights on the bench, though. In the end, I do love them, but these won't replace my earbuds or over the ear headphones in a few scenarios, but they are a welcomed addition to my sound corps. There's a Shokz app that helps with changing the sound for Bass, Treble, Voice etc. So I would suggest installing it, if only to be able to check your battery life staus. All in all, I would recommend these, because they work and they're well built. But, they do need work because i want to be the only one hearing my music. if they're bone conduction, I should be the only one hearing the sound. I would think.

Since they were released, AirPods Pro have been my go to earbuds. They’re compact, conveniently turn on and pair to my iPhone right out of the case, and boast excellent sound quality and noise isolation. Now that temperatures are cooling down here in the Midwest, I’ve been doing a lot more walking/running, biking, house upgrades, and getting back to working on my project car. Even though AirPods have tranparency mode, I prefer to have my ears completely unoccluded while I’m in public or anywhere there is vehicle traffic, especially when I’m walking my dogs. When I’m working on my project car, I noticed that my AirPods would constantly get bumped out or start to slip out as I get sweaty and dirty. When I’m working on my project car, I noticed that my AirPods would constantly get bumped out or start to slip out as I get sweaty and dirty. I picked up the Shokz Openrun Pro 2s for these applications and they fill this role perfectly. Don’t get me wrong, I still love my AirPods for general daily use, but now I grab for my Shokz any time I’m doing any of the aforementioned activities. I was a bit skeptical about sound quality and adequate volume with open air headphones, but the Shokz do not disappoint. They get plenty loud, have clear vocals, and plenty of bass. It feels like you have your own private concert going on with the benefit of it not bothering anyone else who might be in your immediate vicinity. Because the Shokz wrap around the ears, I’ve had no issues with them slipping due to sweat or falling off if bumped. They feel well built and have nice clickly manual controls right behind your right ear. They pair quickly every time. The hard shell case they come with is compact and can easily be stored in or clipped to any bag. The Shokz app is pretty basic, but allows you to see batttery percentage and change EQ settings. Long story short, if you’re an active person who wants to maintain complete situational awareness at all times, these are the headphones for you.
