For a child just learning to tie his/her own shoes, we've found that after double-knotting the laces stayed tied for a long period of time. The downside, according to my child is that the shoe laces are a bit too long.

Levi's and Adidas, in his words, are Americana. They are super comfy, get compliments everywhere I go from men and women, and they are at a great price point! Great buy!!

These were cute but not for me. The tongue feels like a light styrofoam material and the left one kept digging into my foot with each step. Besides that, the shoe itself is comfortable. I bought these for myself; I'm normally a size 5.5/6 in women's. I returned these.
Purchased for myself,to wear with jeans/shorts. Nice slim fitting shoe, doesn’t look too chunky or as wide as some. Great value as I take a size 4 so fit in the junior ones! My teenagers like them too! Navy colour is really nice. Funny how this review asks age of child- I’m 49!
So not only do they really make your feet sweat but worse, they squeak loudly with every step! Left it a week to see if its because they're new, still doing it.
I consider the Gazelles classics. Looks great on, goes with everything. Runs a little big but not too much so, I would order the size your child wears, so that he can grow into these won’t be very long before he does. I just tie the shoe laces up and there’s no flopping or issues. My son loves his gazelles!
I purchased these for my granddaughter who absolutely loves them and they are replacing a pair that was purchased a year ago. Although her original pair are still in amazing condition after wearing them to school almost everyday last year, her foot has grown some. My granddaughter plays hard and is outdoors climbing, running and dragging her feet to stop her bike or scooter in all types of weather. These are amazingly durable, and the navy color compliments almost all of her outfits.

I ordered these shoes in navy for my daughter to wear with her school uniform. They look so sharp and are comfortable with the suede uppers. I treated it with a shoe protector spray for easy cleaning and water resistance. The fit was true to size with just a little room to grow. We double-knot the laces since she runs around during recess. She loves them!
