Best in-ear earphones

This is my third pair (lost two previous ones). They are amazing! The sound is rich, they do block outside noise pretty well. Good fit for small ears (other brands fall out). Well made - I do gardening, cleaning etc in them, drop them, pull on the cord - nothing breaks.

Difference between Sennheiser CX 3.00 and IE 4

I used to have Sennheiser CX 3.00 and I liked these headphones. But something happened to the wire, it became soft and was ready to tear. I liked their sound, but I wanted to test a more expensive model. I was not disappointed. Compared to CX 3.00, sound is more real. I am pleased with this purchase. I recommend .

I have owned MANY Sennheiser, both in-ear and over the ear for years. Ranging from their cheapest options to their most expensive. This is my LEAST favorite set of earphones I've bought from Sennheiser. It sounds thin... all mid, no lows and no highs. Really, not super happy about this purchase.

Ladies and gentlemen these are the best headphones ever
19 June 2022

I tried all the In-Ear headphones from the BandH store and these were the winners. These $60 dollar headphones are better than $500 or $1000 headphones. I had to return several expensive headphones to finally keep these Sennheiser IE 4. The best sound my ears have ever heard.

The Senn IE 4s are my favorite ear phones. First the sound is spectacular rivaling and even surpassing most of my over the ear headphones and If positioned properly they will rival or at least equal even the most expensive Senn over the ear including the HD600, 650s and others of which I have several for studio work and or what ever is the current flagship. People who complain about comfort must have weird shaped ears . Some complain and dont even mention the foam tips (among the three styles that come with them) or they are listening to degraded smart phone sound. The guy from his 2007 reviews only mentions the plastic tips. Ive owned IE4s for much longer than that and they always included foams tips and the middles size are optimum for me. The guy from his 2007 reviews only mentions the plastic tips. Ive owned IE4s for much longer than that and they always included foams tips and the middles size are optimum for me. I buy them 2 at a time and listen to them every night when I sleep, through one of my 6 PCM M10s Sony high quality digital portables and by the way, I will never forgive Sony for discontinuing that model. In fact to find a decent used m10 on Ebay you have to spend more than Sonys current hi res portable (`$800) which has greater bandwidth (unneeded more than 96 K IS just fine) in a portable and the new one from Sony uses batteries at 4 time the rate of the M-10 and has less than half the depth of sound as the M-10s as well. Sony was really stupid to have discontinued the PCM M-10 and I have not found its equal from any manufacturer (all things considered). But the IE4s have been around a long time and try as I might to find better sounding In the ear phones, at any price, I have been unsuccessful. Ive no doubt Sennheiser may discontinue the IE 4s eventually which is why I buy 2 sets per year as backups. I keep 20 as backups and rotate their use. Yes I do wear them out after 3 or 4 years and occasionally will snag one and break it but at 60 Bucks or less I have found not even a close second in sound and performance. And no I dont do mix downs with them, the over the ear both open and closed headsets are better for that but mostly it is a comfort and practicality issue rather than just sound. You have to lie still to fully enjoy the IE4s) But I highly recommend the IE4. For pure listening especially if you have anything but elf like ears.Doug KennedyFingerpick Magazine

No frills ear buds offering full sound, a very soft ear bud for comfort, and durable back case. The wire casing is neither slippery nor sticky, it has the right amount of grip texture.

Use every day won't go without them

Used each day primarily for listening to audio books and some music. These are the most comfortable earbuds I have ever had. I fall asleep with them on and no ear discomfort. The sound quality is excellent for the spoken word and certainly good for music.

Ya Win Some, Ya Lose Some

I've been using my Sennheiser CX 300 for TV for a little over 4 years - paying around $35 each for them - till one channel finally died. I kept the spare unused on reserve, but I really wanted an upgrade and thought this IE 4 would be it. I was mistaken. The new unit does have superior high end response, but maybe the over emphasized treble becomes fatiguing after a while. And there's virtually no bass to speak of. El draggo, especially considering the 17 hz. low of the old unit. What's more, the skinny wires tangle easily and seem overly fragile. So now the IE 4 is the spare and I'm still using my CX 300. Just the red ones. I love Sennheiser product and have enjoyed many phones and buds down through the years including the great Momenum True Wireless, but there's ... MoreI've been using my Sennheiser CX 300 for TV for a little over 4 years - paying around $35 each for them - till one channel finally died. Just the red ones. I love Sennheiser product and have enjoyed many phones and buds down through the years including the great Momenum True Wireless, but there's little excuse for their name being on this one. And even less justification for the $60 pricetag. The takeaway: if you're willing to go $60, go $75 instead. Your choices and your satisfaction will be much enhanced, maybe even go for the newest CX 300s. For myself, I'm duly chastened with this waste of money and will ensure I do my due diligence and more thoroughly research my next wired buds acquisition.

simple and awesome

i use them in a daily basis, the sound is awesome, you get a good noise-cancelling, the only two flaws i found are:-The bass is somewhat poor, most of the music genre will sound awesome, but if you are a Hip Hop or Metal Fan you will find them disappointing at some bass levels-After long listening session your ears will get uncomfortable, but i found this to happen with each in-ear headphones i owned, so i guess this is a personal issue.
