This solar-powered Astron timepiece combines cutting-edge technology with a bold yet refined contemporary design. Lightweight yet robust, the watch is crafted from super-hard coated titanium for both the case and bracelet, and is protected by dual curved sapphire crystal glass. The black dial features a distinctive vertical subdial layout with a horizontal line pattern, enhancing its modern technical aesthetic. Sleek lines, a slim profile and a compact, angular design create an almost seamless flow from the case through the lugs to the bracelet. Designed with a low centre of gravity for enhanced comfort on the wrist, the five-piece titanium bracelet offers lightweight wear and includes a micro-adjustable clasp for a personalised fit. The caseback is finished with a three-dimensional globe symbol, highlighting its GPS capability. Powered by the in-house 5X83 solar movement, the SSH179J1 features a 1/20th of a second chronograph, with dedicated subdials for chronograph timing, mode selection and a dual-time display.
