This is the largest bag we could fit into a Tandem Current Designs kayak, worked great for our trip to the Broken Islands on the West Coast of Vancouver Island. Three person tent and one sleeping pad fit.

I've owned a number of different types and brands of dry bags over the years, and slowly have swapped them all out for Big River bags in different sizes (65L, 35L, 20L, 13L, 5L). The lash-loops are great for securing them to a kayak or raft, they're lightweight yet super durable, and they've kept all of my gear dry on hundreds of miles of long-distance river trips without fail including after being exposed to hours or rain, rapids, even completely submerged... unexpected capsizes... they happen. They are more expensive than other options available, but well worth it. Highly recommend!!

I wasn't sure whether my largest backpack (Osprey Xenith 88L) would fit until it arrived and I tried it, so in case anyone else is wondering, here it is inside a 65L Big River bag with the requisite three flap turns and snapped closed. Nothing larger than this backpack would fit, but obviously any smaller backpack would fit.Note, however, that the backpack is empty in this photo, so the backpack alone takes the bulk of the space--which isn't a big deal for me because I'll store most of my stuff inside the hull of my packraft, but the backpack itself wouldn't fit there--but the bag is also bloated in this pic with some unnecessary air, so it does have some space to add a few things in addition to the backpack.Another thing I wondered but couldn't find anywhere ...Β MoreI wasn't sure whether my largest backpack (Osprey Xenith 88L) would fit until it arrived and I tried it, so in case anyone else is wondering, here it is inside a 65L Big River bag with the requisite three flap turns and snapped closed. Solid construction and quality as expected from Sea to Summit. Side tabs are nice bonus feature. Haven't submerged the bag so I can't speak to that from experience, but it has kept contents dry from generous splashes and rain, so I'm confident it could take a quick canoe tip like a champ. 35L fits my small tent, sleeping pad, and sleeping bag with a bit of room to spare.
I was looking for a heavy duty dry bag for kayaking use and was happy that I tried this one. Others I had seen were too light weight and flimsy. I love the 5L size, the material at the fold/seal, and the rings for tying to the bag and securing to my boat. Perfect for my use and would buy again!
Another example of sea to summit great product, very durable and light weight, used it for backpacking for weekend of canoeing tripEverything stayed bone dry
Accidents happen when you least expect it - like capsizing in calm water trying to get into a kayak! I got this for a more dramatic use case - but hey, I'm glad I had it for a dumb accident as well! Everything stayed nice and dry.
Love it! A little pricy compared to other brands but so worth the money. Size is great! large enough for fitting all we need in one secure place. Quality is sturdy and feels as though it will last us through many seasons.
This is the 1 bag that goes on every paddle. While lighter weight fabrics are great for packing for multi day trips, I got this heavy duty bag to keep my keys, wallet , phone and a few incidentals that go on every paddle, so I need a bag that stands up to the continuous use.
