My husband uses the pads in his shop. He does woodworking and metal working and uses them for various projects. He is very happy that I got them for him and uses them for different things. I know of several things I may need them for also.

I generally purchase these in box fulls of 20 pads. So many uses for these rough character pads. Perfect for cleaning my water-filter system's ceramic cartridge and does a beautiful job on stainless steel pots and pans. I also use them to touch up the matte finish of my Corian countertops. Price was very good!

Great Product

Marvelous for removing soil/discoloration from bottom of pots & pans. (Always wet pad and work on an inconspicuous area before tackling the whole job as they may scratch certain metals.) I also use these with Bon Ami to remove calcium & other minerals deposited on kitchen & bathroom fixtures where softer pads are ineffective (I have very hard well water). These pads may be used to remove old paint and varnish from wooden doors/windows and rust and grime from metal tools. The bottom line is that the pads are very versatile and long lasting. I keep one in almost every room of my house, including several in the basement. Purchased by the box, they are economical.

There are so many times I need a good scuff pad, but all I have is an old well worn one. These can be tricky to find in a local store, so it's really convenient to have a full box of them.If you haven't ever used them, you'll be impressed. I am repainting the pool cage. Sandpaper is too aggressive. The scuff pad cuts through the outer layer for good adhesion of the new paint.

I use this product every day at work! I work in a metal fabrication shop, I cut the pads in half then I cut them again into a circle to fit our 5inch da's.I wish 3M would sell this same product as circle disks. I would make my life at work so much faster!I do enjoy working with this scotch bright pad.

It is very efficient in its function as a general cleaner around home, makes wonders with stains in the kitchen and bathroom, but looses its high cleaning power pretty fast. After that, it works like a more conventional sponge. That short life makes the product pretty expensive. Better leave it for hard to clean surfaces, like bathroom, WC and sinks. But do not discard them immediately, combining with other cleaning powders still can be used.

Scotch-brite is a have too have at my house and shop. I use them regularly at my aviation job. I became so accustom to using them that I purchased some for the shop at home. Now my wife loves them. I usually cut them into about 4" squares. A box last a long time at the house. Great when you need that little extra muscle to clean something.

This is a big box of somewhat abrasive Scotch pads. They are more abrasive than the green ones. And of course, the green ones (and these maroon ones) are more abrasive than the blue ones which claim to be non-scratching.I use a utility knife to cut these sheets into smaller sizes.Given my workload for this sort of thing, this box might be a lifetime supply, but it was well worth the investment.

We use these general purpose abrasive pads from 3M for cleaning off contacts on circuit boards from dirty trucks. We have tried other, cheaper brands of abrasive pads and at the end of the day, the abrasive pads from 3M always outperformed. Now we exclusively use nothing but 3M products when it comes to abrasive pads.

We used these to sand our natural woodwork with a glossy coat. I read a recommendation about using these rather than sandpaper. They buffed the woodwork enough so that the primer stuck to the surface and made it so much easier to paint. I highly recommend them!
