Schwarzkopf Live Ultra Brights 094 Purple Punk Hair Dye

To use this product i bleached my hair to an auburn colour. I used the normal dye and also added some of the drops since my hair was still quite dark and i wanted a very vibrant result, which i got! The colour turned out more red than pink but that is probably attributed to the auburn shade that my hair was before dying. All in all I must say I am very happy with the results, but for darker hair i reccomend using some of the colour drops additionaly.

Awesome colour

I had my dyed pink at a salon and only lasted a few washes. I loved the pink so decided to try this. I followed the instructions and I think it looks awesome! My hair is already light blonde so took very well to the colours. There are some patchy parts but I think that is my application. I haven’t washed it yet so not sure how long it was last. But I’ve already had many compliments and I’m obsessed! I’m going to get another box to make it bolder!!

Good at first, awful fading +impossible to washout

I have bleached ends with initially dark brown hair. The original colour was so nice and like the box! (I have only bleached once) and so was pleased.However, be warned this product fades into pink not purple which was disappointing, so bear this in mind! Like other reviews stated this means the pastel purple look will not be achieved.Also it is impossible to washout! I dyed my hair beginning of June, and by mid August I still had the strands making my hair look quite ugly, despite saying only 10-15 washes on the packet. I wash my hair every other day, but had to resort to washing it everyday from mid July as it wasn't budging. Thankfully, I had a salon bayalage appointment mid August where the hairdresser dyed over it, otherwise it still be on my hair 3 months ... MoreI have bleached ends with initially dark brown hair. Great just a update the roots or ombre style

Folirst when I opened the box,I though that there's something missing, as there was only conditioner and the tube with a dye. Normally,when I buy a dye, there is another tube with reagent, which you mix with dye from tube. Then I read the instructions and realised that it is just a tube, which you do not need to mix with anything else, can apply straight away. Well, I must say, my hair are longer then shoulder length, and quite thick, so this 50 ml tube wasn't enough for the whole head. So I applied it all over the roots,just to update and refresh the look. It covers really well grey hair and after a few washes, I can see it is a good quality, ilas it did not started to wash out yet. Not to smelly. Hard as any other, to get it out from skin. Great when used with Urban Metallics Blue Mercury

I found out by accident (long story) that this stuff is ok on its own but when used with Live Urban Metallics Blue Mercury I got perfect results. This product alone takes to very light blonde hair well and looks quite poor on light brown hair. I know this because I’m transitioning from black hair to blue so when pre-lightening, my roots went very light blonde and (after using dye removal on the black) the parts of my hair that were black went to light brown. The first time I combined these two products I got ‘ok’ results from using Ultra Brights Electric Blue but I wanted it to be better than ok so, as they were out of stock of Ultra Brights Electric Blue I bought Urban Metallics Blue Mercury and applied it over the dye I’d already used and voilà, perfect blue! So my five stars are for my method, which requires this product, not for this product alone.

Just Buy & Try

I must admit, I may be a tad biased when it comes to Schwarzkopf hair dye, as it's my only go to dye, and as usual I was not disappointed. They are easy to use/follow instructions, and with carefully application cover all my grey hairs. The only thing I would say, is it you have longer hair or lots of grey, then buy 2 boxes to ensure a decent coverage. I love the way my hair feels after using their products and the colour is amazing. Would always recommend, but please, if you've never used before, do a strand test area to make sure you aren't allergic to any of the ingredients. This goes for all hair dyes.

Not happy

I got the permanent LIVE purple punk hair dye. My natural colour is the medium brown and I followed all instructions and my hair didn't even go the slightest bit purple. My hair now just looks mahogany. Not happy at all with these results. I wanted beautiful purple hair like it shows on the box and I got non of it. Will NOT be buying this brand again.

Omg I love it

I bleached my hair twice to try go blonde after many years of dying it black. Toned it many times and still the roots and ends were uneven which left me with 3-4 inches of white hair in between (from not dying for a year roughly. I figured if I bleach again my hair was going to fall out for sure. So.... after googling and reading reviews I came across this funky color. The reviews put me off at first but I thought could it be any worse than where I'm at now? Probably not! I took the plunge and applied it straight onto dry hair I think damp would of been better like the instructions stated. I left it on for an hour hoping that it would have a better chance at sticking to my hair. Orangy Red, Not True To Colour!

Orangy Red! Not true to colour!Used this last night to touch up my roots as my manic panic dye hadn't arrived yet. It is not a true red, it's very orangy! I left it on for 90mins which gave me a slightly darker result because at 30mins it was just orange! I even added the red live drops to darken the colour and as you can see it still has a slight orange hue.The back looks darker red but I think that's because the light was Infront of me not behind, it hasn't given an even look at all despite me bleaching my roots to get a nice light base for it. I'm hoping that as it washes out it will fade to a nice red.The texture is horrible to work with if you don't want a pastel shade & it smells chemically, it feels like a cheap product compared to other dyes in the ... MoreOrangy Red! Perfect for me 😊

As an older lady I have been using LIVE for a number of years. The colour is perfect bear in mind that you must lighten your hair in advance to achieve the desired result on the box. Easily removed by shampoo if need be. To keep my desired colour I need to dye it once every 6wks which is about the same as if you have it done in the salon. Doesn’t need to be kept on any longer than 15m in my opinion. Been using this specific colour for around 20yrs never had issues with it. My only complaint about this is that it’s SEMI PERMANENT. Cannot seem to get this colour anywhere in PERMANENT. This colour is my personal favourite I love it. Never had any issues with LIVE & I would recommend this colour to anyone. Thanks 😊
