I don?t get this for the lower sodium content, but it?s useful for topping up on potassium for electrolyte balance in a ketogenic diet. Low sodium isn?t healthier for you, but you need to balance the other minerals with your sodium intake.

I am a doctor - and this is better for you than standard table salt. Potassium is not bad for your blood pressure. The reason the packaging states that people with heart and kidney problems need to be careful is that some heart problems are treated with drugs which can be affected by increased potassium levels, and people with severe kidney problems may not excrete potassium properly. Salt substitutes can be a useful addition to other measures to control or prevent high blood pressure. If you are taking medication and youre not sure if this product will be suitable, just ask your pharmacist to advise.

I substitute this for normal table salt as my husband has high blood pressure. He doesn't even know that it's different as there are no labels on my salt pot. He he, naughty me!
My partner likes a lot of salt on his food, which is obviously not so healthy. I?ve tried buying other salt substitutes in the past, but they all had a strange aftertaste to them and so were used once or twice then thrown away, wasting food and money. I thought this one might be worth a try, and it certainly is: We can detect no difference in flavour, and I can use it just like normal salt in cooking and seasoning. Highly recommended if you want to cut down your sodium intake.
No nasty aftertaste. I'm a salt addict and wanted to lower intake but previous experience with low salt wasn't good. This is different. It really is just like salt. Care needs to be taken to make sure the potassium content is ok for people.
I Imagine most people will be switching to something like this to keep their blood-pressure down or similar. It would have been nice to know that this product is actually worse for your blood pressure/cardiovascular health in some cases than regular salt due to the high potassium content etc. It says it on the tub, but by that point you've already wasted the money buying it.
can't taste the difference between this and ordinary table salt, so reduced sodium and increased potassium with no penalty.
Much better than the other brand .
