Not only does it come with the extra ports needed, but there is also an NVMe slot availabile for an internal SSD, so there is one less accessory on my desk. The stand fits neatly under the Mac Mini forna seemless look. Im so glad I purchased this.

As not to over exaggerate, but this hub is amazing if you’re looking into having a few more “usable” ports, especially for any MacMini with Thunderbolt 3 or 4 ports. Plus, underneath is the availability to add a blade SSD M.2 and add additional storage capacity and avoid the exorbitant price that Apple charges for storage upgrades. Though, this hub add on eliminates that. Connecting the hub to the back of the MacMini or Studio is simple with little effort. Just plug the USB-C cable to one of Thunderbolt ports on the back and that’s it! Aesthetics is pleasing for those with OCD tendencies. Plus, the brand is renowned for their products. The price was reasonable. Highly recommended if you’re interested in adding additional features to your supported device. Cheers.

This has the exact features I wanted to round out my Mac Mini setup, (USB ports, SD card slot, SSD housing) in a slick package. I held off buying it because of credible reports about WiFi and BlueTooth interference problems. But I decided to pick it up from a local store and try it, ready to return it immediately in case of problems. A/B comparison showed no change in WiFi throughput, at least up to the full speed of my cable internet which is 180 Mbps. I realize some people consider that slow, but it's good enough for me. I also don't need much from BlueTooth, just a keyboard connection which still works fine, so I didn't do any testing of BT throughput. All results were still good when I added an SSD, so it's a keeper.
Fits and work great with my new Mac Mini. Also installed a Crucial 1Tb NVMe drive into the hub (because Apple charges so much for extra storage) which is working great. A good addition especially to add more accessible ports, and SD card slot, at the front where needed.
Great idea, fits well. But there should be way more USB C ports on this. Not so many USB old ports. and I do like the memory card slots, but no CF Express. Fits well, but therefore seems outdated. Wish I would buy the "next version" of this.
Depending on your networking setup you may find this device prevents your Mac Mini from actually reaching yoru WiFi network. I was surprised this could happen, but after plugging it in had lost wifi connectivity and this could never be resolved. Ended up having to send it back.
Housekeeping: IMPORTANT NOTE - Not the fault of the dock, but as of the time of this review, none of the SSD drives sold by Best Buy are compatible with this Dock. The dock only accepts 2280 SATA SSDs, and is NOT COMPATIBLE WITH NVMe SSDs. I stress this because Best Buy support stated that it was compatible, and we went through the annoyance of purchase and set-up only to find that the set-up was non-functioning.Now on to the Review...- Dock is aesthetically near-perfect for M1 or M2 aluminum finished Mac Mini. Fit, finish, and build quality is truly spot-on. Love it.- Horizontal form factor is quite pleasing as long as you have the desk space. Our main rational behind ordering this initially was to put the whole set-up under our TotalCare+ tech support, but--unfortunately--that proved to be a waste of time given the bad advice from Best Buy on compatibility.
Looks wise it matches the MacMini M1 perfectly... Functionality wise, it's garbage!!all the connections, internal SSD and every USB port is slow. Completely useless, I don't even want to use it. Copying 1GB to the internal drive started out at 7mins and keeps going up, 18mins at this point. Ridiculous! now I see that it's sold out/discontinued. Another useless crap from china
Perfect fit as a base for the mac mini with rubber feet on the bottom so it doesn't slide as easy.Nice to have the extra ports right out front for easy access.Also like the nice upgrade on this version where you can add an NVMe drive inside for extra storage space.It is powered through the thunderbolt port so no extra power plugs to worry about.Was able to catch this on sale for $20 off so it was absolutely worth the price
