I am a keyboard aficionado. Meaning, I am super picky when it comes to keyboards. In my humble opinion, Satechi is the best when it comes to wireless, portable keyboards. This one is no exception. I think it is an improvement over previous models. They key feedback is very crisp, it is light and compact (but not too light), and it has a number keypad. It is hard to argue that this keyboard has any drawbacks. So far, it has better Bluetooth connectivity, better than previous models. Sometimes you had some lag when switching back and forth between devices, but so far, this one doesn't have any lag.My only complaint, and this really isn't a complaint so much as a request, is that they do not make a case for this keyboard. To really put this product over the top, they need to include a case!! I want to be able to carry it in my bad without worrying that the keys will scrape against the inside pockets and come off. At least if you don't include the case, make one that fits this keyboard and sell it as an accessory. Win win for both Satechi and the customer. Mac people want to protect their investment, so why Satechi does not do this is beyond me.Anyway, if you are in the market for a new wireless keyboard, do not hesitate to pull the trigger on this one. I promise you that you will not be disappointed!!

I have been looking for a great wireless keyboard without paying the ridiculous Apple prices and I came across the Slim X2, it is exactly what I've been looking for. Same sleek, slim style as an Apple keyboard I am used to with amazing look. This medium version is even better as I don't need a full width and the smaller version isn't my ideal keyboard. I couldn't be happier and love using it.

Easy to connect. Smooth typing. Reasonable battery life for heavy usage. One downside when connect with Windows10. Sometimes it has delay. No issue with Mac.

Satechi ios not attaches to the lesser companies which make inferior products in ther mad dash for profits. I am an author and I can say Satechi will not let you down. While it does have lesser battery capacity than others (I've tried and thrown out ma)ny) it never fails to resurrect itself after a good, long charge (overnight.
I couldn't get all of the functionality from the Apple KB to correctly move over to the Satechi KB. Anything to do with the eject key doesn't work, brightness and volume keys require FN key to work. The feel and tactical feed back is nicer than Apples and the price is definitely better, as Apple gouges you on their KB. If it was a directly replacement, it would get a five-star review, but it's not. Satechi customer support is pretty much worthless.
Keyboard works but some things to know:- Online pictures show this being more silver/aluminum in color. Space-gray is actually much darker, nearly black. Maybe I will remove key-caps and paint it?- Delete key is NOT delete. It is a backspace key. This causes problems in Windows and is not as versatile as a delete key.- Bluetooth 5.0 might not work in earlier versions, but Windows 10 and 11 seem okay.
I bought this keyboard for my desk setup at work - and I absolutely love it. I work in the tech space and so the ergonimics and input feel matter a lot to me with how much I type. I love the matte feel of the keys and how slim they are, but not overly sensitive or prone to mistyping. I can keep my desk looking minimal with it which is a huge plus for me. Highly recommend. Comes with USB-C charger cable and optional riser pads for the back.
I love this keyboard! It types easily and I can switch between my iPad and computer (Win 10) as easily as pushing one button. It is well built and solid. Back lighting is perfect. I cannot be happier. Great keyboard. Excellent service.
The Satechi Slim X2 keyboard has many pluses and few drawbacks.I got the Satechi keyboard to compare with my old Apple keyboard and I won't go back. This keyboard has a numeric keypad but has less of a footprint. Reaching for the numbers is more efficient. I had to reach for the numbers on the Apple keyboard. The backlit feature is convenient but why didn't Apple make it for standalone keyboards? Others seemed concerned about the battery drain using backlighting, but I haven't had it long enough to notice a difference. The feature I like best is pairing four external bluetooth devices. I can switch from writing Word documents on the MBP to texting on my iPhone . No lagging. Some others complain about the tactile squishing of the keyboard. I like the feel and ... I like the feel and sound.Despite the wedge shape of the keyboard, lifting it is like moving a frying pan--you need to find a place to grip. But that also is testament to the solid build. Use the 3M rubber feet that come in the box. It raises the back of the keyboard to a comfortable height. And it's easier to lift it off the desk. The $79.99 price makes it a bargain. The Apple Keyboard is going on the shelf with my old MBP.
I needed to replace an Apple magic keyboard. I was hoping for something with a numeric keypad and the same slim yet solid feel without the hefty price tag.All the other bluetooth keyboards are clunky plastic. This has a look and feel very similar to the magic keyboard. I actually like the extra key travel just a bit more. And the added feet to give it a slant makes it more comfortable to use than the magic kbd.The numeric keypad without the wasted Windows keys in between is brilliant, saves desk space, and allows the mouse to be more accessible as well. Who uses those keys even on Windows? The ability to do multi-pairing is the icing on the cake.
