SanDisk 16GB Ultra UHS-I microSDHC Memory Card (Class 10)

I already expected that this product will work very well because it's from the official store, and also based on the ratings and reviews about this product. Everything worked smoothly, even the whole transaction and delivery. I received the product in only 3 days (south luzon) and did not experience any delays. Also, before I stop typing, I would like to remind other people, especially those who are planning to buy this product that you should not expect an SD card to fulfill its full capacity. The actual amount of memory available on an SD card can be less than the advertised capacity. This is because the manufacturers use a different unit of memory measurement called \"Binary Gigabytes\" instead of the commonly used \"Decimal Gigabytes.\" Binary Gigabytes are larger than Decimal Gigabytes, so that means there's less space available on an SD card than you'd expect. Capacity in spades, speed is metered.

There's not much to review for anything solid state besides the speeds and feeds, so I'll get them out of the way first. It seems to have a 0.5-1gb write cache, after which write speeds fall off a cliff to 30MB/s, read speed seems to be about 90MB/s, no cache or other limits.The card is somewhat compact, but it has a slight bulging cover on the backside, where presumably the extra space is needed - it still fits inside my steamdeck. Received wrong size

This might not be a fair review as the shipper sent a 32G micro sd card, when i ordered this tough to find 16G one. (The seller got one star for their mistake.) The 32G are available everywhere and could have bought at our local Walmart the same day instead of waiting for this to be shipped, 3rd party, across the country. A 16GB micro SD card is the maximum the device i ordered it for can use, so the 32G has not been used. (Other devices with higher max limits get 128G cards %26 Sandisk works well with those, so guessing the 16G would also work well -if I could GET that size delivered!) Frustrated. PLEASE MAKE MORE OF the 16G size, so people can find them for a reasonable price and actually receive that size when ordered! I've given all the numbers so the reader will know exactly which animal we're talking about, as there is lots of room for confusion on these things.Anyway, I'm using this SD card inserted in an adapter which allows me to then plug the adapter in the standard USB port on my desktop computer. Most people stick these in their phone or camera but u can use them with your computer as well.So far this card is copying well. Copy speeds are nearly the same as my primary hard drive.Write speed, I mean...However, the benchmark read speeds are only a third as fast as the HDD, but that is not bad. This is what I see with all the other usb stick drives I've played with. I've suffered 2 usb stick drive failures this past summer so this little bugger comes to the rescue and is doing well. SD cards and usb stick drives have a controller, just like HDD have a hard disk controller, and if the disk controller is sub-par, the drive will not do well. This is often not taken into account. Whatever, we are having good performance with this so far. We examined the drive for a nearly 3 hours read-write test using CheckFlash, an old testing utility and it came thru with no error flags. Then we formatted using NTFS with 16k cluster size. I learned the hard way not to use small cluster sizes with SD cards or usb drives. They don't like it.. Oh, almost forgot.... This SD card came with NO FORMATTING. That was a surprise. Usually they are formatted FAT32 but not this critter. Blank and clean as a hound's tooth. No big deal. If you insert this in your phone, your phone should jump us and ask if you want to format the card, which naturally, you click YES, and then all should be fine.
