Linking Alexa allows you to control the TV using your voice either through the existing smart home device or the remote control - this is a fantastic feature which works really well, for example you can say ‘Alexa, open BBC iPlayer on TV’. The TV offers crystal clear picture quality and super bright colours - this allows UHD content to really ‘pop’ on the screen, great for those who game or watch movies regularly. Overall, we’re incredibly happy with the picture quality and feel it offers almost ‘best in class’ quality - when linked with my PS5 the TV really excels the game play; detail is clear, vibrant and immersive. The TV itself looks incredibly smart in our lounge, the thin design, when wall mounted looks sleek - and the almost bezel less design makes the TV look incredible. The TV is easy to use and easy to navigate around; set up was an absolute breeze when completed through the Samsung Smart Things application - it literally took minutes, by far one of the simplest set ups I’ve experienced with a smart TV.It offers excellent quality, high specifications at a great value price - based on my experience using this product, I would highly recommend the AU800 TV from Samsung.Cons: No improvement suggestions; this TV truly is a great all rounder!

The two app feature has been very useful in times of terrible weather as we still use apps to entertain our boys but keep an eye out on the weather lolThe battery life on the remote is incredible, I honestly didn't even know it had to be charged until last month and we've had it for several months. One thing that is not talked about a lot with products is just how fast and responsive a TV should be. And this one no lag whatsoever.Being able to directly present from my phone is probably my favorite feature! As I like to call on a lot of family meetings and use PowerPoint lolThis TV is amazing!

The screen is phenomenal. Great for movies, sports, AND gaming. Runs 120 fps which looks butter-smooth. If you're just looking for a good tv that covers everything well, I definitely recommend this. For example we searched "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs" to watch, Samsung only showed a few paid options (Vudu, purchasing on apple, etc.) to watch the movie when it is on Netflix which I am subscribed to. So it doesn't display where to watch movies on apps I am subscribed to while Roku for example will.My last issue is more of a mini-complaint. I don't think there's a whole LOT more this TV offers other than it's screen quality and high-frame rate. The app-guide and menus I found to be a little lacking for a tv that costs $500+ more than a Roku or other budget options.Overall it's well worth the upgrade price for a higher-end TV and won't crush your bank account if you find a good deal/financing, however I would have liked to see more features for upgrading.

The picture on this TV is great. I don't love it quite as much as my OLED TV but the value for the money was so much better with this one. My only complaint about this TV has to do with the user interface. The trend to simplify remote control devices means the user is forced to do more using the on-screen menus. I would love an input button and a settings button on the remote since I'm frequently accessing those features. The TV sometimes mistakenly chooses the wrong input (it's too smart for its own good sometimes) and sometimes it fails to bring the selected input to full screen on its own and I have to select it on-screen. It's annoying when I don't want to have to use two remotes. For example, most times I can simply use the remote for the device I want to watch ... MoreThe picture on this TV is great. It's annoying when I don't want to have to use two remotes. For example, most times I can simply use the remote for the device I want to watch (say my FireTV or AppleTV) and the TV will turn on, select the correct sound output, show my media on the screen, etc. Other times, the TV comes on and the input I'm trying to watch is showing only in the little PiP "recently used" window, which I have to select with the Samsung remote, press OK to bring it up full screen. I haven't figured out the rhyme or reason for when it does what. My friend has last year's version of this same model and his interface is completely different and he doesn't have these selection problems. And to get to the settings you have to go over to the main menu, scroll to the bottom and then choose settings and then again choose what kind of settings you want. I wish there were a settings button on the main navigation (and as mentioned on the remote itself). Perhaps for most people who have a very simple set up with only one or two peripherals Samsung decided easy access to settings isn't that important. But if you have a lot of connected devices, and an audio receiver with lots of things connected, this is kinda clunky
I purchased this as the main television for the household, placing it on the living room. The colors needs to be calibrated, I went with an rtings guide to do so and the difference between out of box colors and the calibration is night and day.The picture quality is amazing especially when you play 4k UHD content at 60fps and the upscaling of older content gets new life added to it by this TV, it may feel like you are watching it again for the first time. Also glare isn't too bad, if it's directly hitting the tv you might have a problem but mostly it isn't an issue for me.I have yet to figure out how to fix this particular problem but if a scene is very dark then the brightness will go down making it hard to read credits or any other wording over a black ... Also the built in speakers are lacking and requires a decent amount of tinkering to produce the right sound for what you may be watching. I need to do something different for Movies, Games, Sports and Music or else it won't sound right.I ended up adding a sound bar for better sound, something to consider. While not noticeable from the distance I sit from the TV, there is some sort of dust or lint under the screen. These specs are only noticeable when the TV is off and light is shined on it but for the price of the TV you would think there would be a little more QA or control here.

I am impressed with this tv.I came from a cheap 6 year old Vizio LED TV so I already knew that anything I buy today will be an upgrade but I was plesently surprised with the picture quality and features this TV offers. The image is bright and vibrant making it possible for me to watch without having to close all my windows and shades.Reflections simply don't bother me anymore.Game mode works well and performance is smooth and stutter free. The universal remote feature allowed me to control my optically connected soundbar including powering on.Once I upgraded to a Samsung soundbar with atmos, things were even better. Upgraded to this TV so I could get maximum performance out of my Series X. I love the tv and it’s almost perfect. I decided to go with this tv over the LG OLED because I liked the brightness and colors better. My tv is in a very bright room so I knew I would need something brighter. To me and my wife the OLED seemed so dark that we personally felt like we were forcing eyesight just to even see what was on screen. We underwent it’s meant to show more natural true colors but we still didn’t like it. This tv has really bright colors which to us is more appealing. We did have to turn off clarity features on it because it over compensates for movement way too much making the image seem blurry and not good. Once we turned that off it was so much better. Now for gaming this tv is amazing. Game mode is perfect. Tv is made with Xbox in mind. The only bad thing is the speakers on the tv are kind of bad. They’re really low quality. We have a Samsung Sound Bar and because it’s the same brand it all connected to each other very well and now the tv remote controls the sound bar si we just leave it on all the time. The remote is nice with the solar. It does get scratched easily and lost easily since it’s so darn thin and small. I honestly love the tv. Sometimes it does wash out the blacks in certain shows not all the shows because of how bright it can be. Overall I recommend this tv.
Used for about a week now. Great picture. One of the few 120 Hz models in this price range. It has all the features I wanted. Upscaling standard HD looks great. exterior styling looks great. The remote is simple, and the fact it is solar powered is something I haven't seen before. I am a Samsung SmartThings user, and how this TV interfaces with my other smart home items was better than expected. Mirroring your smart phone screen to your TV isnt new, but I have never seen mirroring your TV to your smart phone. Actually useful when you need to step away during a big game. My only minor negative points are these: My old TV used a fire stick for online content. My only minor negative points are these: My old TV used a fire stick for online content. This one has everything streaming built-in and is a bit clunky in how the menus navigate in comparison to Fire TV. However after a week I've adjusted, and I wouldn't have probably ever had a second thought if I hadn't been a FireTV user for so long. Sound isn't great, especially for low volume dialogue, but that is a weakness of most thin TVs. I bought a sound bar last night. I bought the Samsung 3.1 soundbar to use Q-Symphony feature, and was disappointed to find that the Samsung sound bar is too tall to slide under the tv stand, so it has to sit behind the tv. Not a huge deal, just would have thought this would have been thought through with both being Samsung. Overall the negatives are minor in the big picture

Uses LED edge lighting but for my viewing environment the Q70A delivers an excellent picture and perfect viewing experience! I’ve thrown everything at it, from Blu Ray and 4k discs to streaming content via my Apple TV 4K! TV speakers aren’t great, my Onkyo AV receiver is my daily driver for audio and surround sound, syncs perfectly with picture and no delay. I mostly use the Adaptive picture setting and alternate with Filmmaker Mode, makes a difference with balanced color and brightness settings when watching 4K UHD disc content. Blown away while watching my 4K Lord of the Rings trilogy! Slight uniformity issue with some black screen moments but doesn’t detract from the overall viewing environment, I can diffuse that slight uniformity and the grey border widescreen effect with ambient lighting. This particular flatscreen was well within my price range and have no light defects or issues with this model’s use of LED edge lighting. I had upgraded from a 50” Samsung that now sits in my bedroom, on its last leg. When it goes I may very well buy a 55” Q70 to put in its place if they’re still available. The e-ARC setting allows me to power down my entire entertainment system with the supplied remote, and includes a setting for Dolby Atmos if your audio system or sound bar is capable of playing Atmos content. No buyers remorse here and perfect big screen viewing!
