Samsung Galaxy Watch - 46mm - Default Title

I started off with the Galaxy frontier watch back in 2018 and recently upgraded to the Galaxy watch 4 and I cannot say how impressed I am with the upgrades! It is extremely customizable and I love the heart rate accuracy.. I have measured it with a pulse ox and it is within a 2-3 beat difference. As well with that I can now answer what's app messages right from my watch. I've used the body composition however have not tested how accurate it is yet as well I have utilized the EKG but not have tested its accuracy. I do wish the US had the blood pressure opption. hopefully sometime in the near future. Personally, I think this watch tops the apple watch for asthetic reasons alone. This watch looks like a regular one from far away and still holds all the amazing features of a smart watch. I think Apple watches are tacky looking with the square little screen and even swapping out the band does not really make them more formal looking. However, this Samsung watch is beautiful and can look fancy or sporty whatever your mood may be. Learning to use it didn't take very long for me because I'm quite tech savvy, but I imagine if you're a little unfamiliar with it there's a bit of a learning curve to finding all this watch can do. BUYER BEWARE: Not Water Resistant

I bought the Watch 4 for my wife as a birthday gift, she has been wanting a smart watch for sometime now. I spent weeks researching different brands and options and settled on the Watch 4 because we have S10 phones and they advertise that they are great fitness trackers. My wife loves to run so I purchased the LTE model so she would always have a way to call or text someone if she needed while tracking her miles and pace. She used the Watch for a couple of months before it started doing weird things. It started to randomly answer calls on the Watch instead of the phone even when you picked up the phone and not the Watch. Battery life was terrible it wouldn't last more than 12 hours, apps would randomly turn on. I sent it in for repair as it was still under warranty and they emailed me back to say it wasn't under warranty due to water damage. I explained to them that the only "water" it could have been in contact with was sweat. They told me there was nothing that they could do it wasn't under warranty. I have found several other people that have had the same problem. The watch 4 is falsely advertised as water resistant and you can use it for swimming laps with it. Samsung will not allow me post this review on their website! DO NOT BUY this watch, save yourself the headaches and money!!!

Better than I thought

I have had this watch since July of this summer and honestly it's been such a game changer. I find it very convenient to not have to be on my phone to check my notifications. I wanted this watch since last year and I decided to get a cheaper version of the watch for a trial run and honestly if you find yourself liking a $50 version of this watch I highly recommend going ahead and buying the watch itself. I'm not much of a healthy person but I have found myself being a lot more consistent and checking my health since getting the watch. like that I don't have to get my phone out what I'm doing stuff to respond to messages on various platforms. I can respond to my friends on discord and instagram without having to get out my phone. It also charges much faster than expected

GET YOUR GALAXY W UPDATES

I've purchased over 10 of these watches, and these last three from this company at Walmart have been the absolute best. These watches are updated and include the Standalone phone option which is huge. They cleared out all the bugs and added updates and upgrades. I purchased three from this company and all but one have worked Superior. The one I returned something was wrong with the charger and I'm getting it replaced I purchased the same watch last year from Amazon it was almost $500. I returned it oh, because it didn't have a standalone phone option. This year I purchased another from Samsung that did have the Standalone phone option oh, but it kept overheating and wouldn't allow me to speak on the phone except for 5 minutes or less. I purchased two because they were just over $100 and I thought I had nothing to lose by purchasing them with a 90-day guarantee from the manufacturer and then purchasing for only $18 the Walmart extended warranty for 3 years. I am super excited and pleased with my purchase. Not only that save money but the watch is souped up and has all the bugs cleared and I can literally talk from the phone on the watch with no problems. It only cost me about $10 extra a month to have the Standalone phone option added Verizon Wireless account. I'll actually operating the phone from the vr30 and I can imagine that it would work even better with a Samsung Galaxy phone. I'm not really really interested in purchasing the phone right now but for right now I'm loving these watches. My friends have also ordered them and they work very well. If you have an issue, the manufacturer is very very responsive and Walmart also backs its warranty that they sell for $18. You have an awesome watch the gain and absolutely nothing to lose.

Going from 3 to 4 Samsung Watches

I've used Samsung devices for 20 years. The Gear 3 Frontier watch has been an excellent watch for me for 3+ years but all of the sudden, after recent updates, it's charge only lasted hours instead of days. I like how many watch faces were available. How quickly it responded. How it helped me keep track of my blood sugar (with a lot of help from other apps) and helped control my music. Well maybe it was time to update. I bought a Galaxy 4 watch. I've had it 4 working days. The charge will last almost 2 days. It only has a handful of useful faces that are stylish. Getting new faces through the play store really is tedious. One face I liked needs 3 other apps to work as shown and the creator of the face wants donations. If I knew why the recent updates discharged the watch so quickly and it could be fixed I'd go back to wearing my Frontier. All that being said the Galaxy 4, 40mm is lighter and has some neat features but it's not as nimble as the 3 was. Also it's not completely compatible with my year and a half old Note 20 Ultra. A phone more expensive then my last 3 computers. Here's hoping Samsung figures out how to be as good as they were a couple years ago.

Great But Not Perfect

I've always had FitBits before getting this Samsung Watch 4 and I wanted one with an EKG because I have heart rate issues. The heart rate monitor honestly doesn't work that well. It's supposed to monitor continuously and it does most of the time, but when I'm having a rapid heart rate episode sometimes it'll show a normal rate when I know that it's much higher. Ex: while hooked up to a heart monitor at the hospital the screen showed my BPM as 183 and my watch showed 89. So I'm not sure I trust the heart monitor function that much. I often have to turn it off and turn it back on to get it to register more accurately. Aside from that, the customization options on the watch are nice so that you can have the settings, apps, and watch face just how you want. Great for what it's meant to do!

I've had this watch for quite some time, and in my opinion, it still keeps up with modern watches out there. This has never let me down once, it has never quit, the rotating bezel is awesome, and the battery life is still phenomenal, (it ran a good few days without charging without problems). The only bones I have to pick on this is software support, and the processing. It's a noticeable step down if you seen Apple watches. It can't run youtube without overheating, and I've barely had any software updates on this. Now, on the other hand, watches are not made for running youtube or larger apps like that, and this is an older watch. Other than all that, a great watch for everyday use.

Love it!

Several friends bought an Apple watch and hailed the benefits. Good for them. I'm an Android user and not at all interested in the ridiculously high priced watch. The Samsung smartwatch got my attention. I read everything I could find on it including reviews until my eyes crossed, and was convinced it was the way to go. I have zero regrets. Not only does it do everything my Fitbit does, IMO it does it better with the added benefit of phone calls, messages, email, and so much more. Not being a "pink" person, I was a little unsure of the color. I was pleased to find it's a beautiful soft color. Being able to change the watch face is awesome! I love this watch and highly recommend it. It's a great price for a fantastic value.

Promising, but falls short.

Re: Galaxy Watch 4 I really, really, really, wanted to love this watch. It has some great functionality, and it's really attractive. Unfortunately, it's glitchy, and the battery life is absolutely horrid. One of the worst glitches is that it often fails to turn on the screen when you raise your arm. Of course, you could leave the screen on all the time, but that will hurt your battery life even more. If you use all of the functionality you'll never get a day's use out of it. I got one and headed off on vacation. I used the watch for gps, which was awesome. Bye 8:00 p.m. the watch was dead everyday. Functionality is useless when your watch battery is dead. I just returned mine today and went back to the Active 2. It's older, but it's a much better watch.
