I upgraded from an S20 Ultra which I had never been completely happy with. In particular, the camera functionality (never completely solved by patches) and a consistently unreliable biometric sensor were real pain points on the S20. Cosmetically, there is not a huge difference but the S23 does feel slightly heavier. I probably preferred the rounded corners of the old model, but have quickly become used to the sqared corners on the new model. I also have it in a Smart View Wallet Case, which has a keyhole cutout in the top right corner that is handy for simple tasks like answering a call or viewing a notification without unlocking the phone. Although I like the Dot View cover that could be used with the S20, the Smart View option on the S23 is more practical.Cosmetics aside, the phone is lovely to use. It's a big step up from the S20 in terms of responsiveness, smoothness in both running and switching apps, as well as startup time. The battery life is very good, but running a graphically rich application (especially if you set the screen to its highest resolution) does take quite a toll. But for normal use I only need to charge it every other day.I haven't yet had a chance to really put the camera through its paces. But some casual pics and videos were all very sharp and colorful, and noticeably more detailed and focused than on the S20. But there is a lot to discover and changing settings is more intuitive in the new version of One UI, so it already feels like my main issue with the S20 has been more than fixed. The only negative I have so far is that the sound on the S23 is not (to me) as good as on the S20. There is a distinct lack of bass and it sounds very tinny at higher volumes. However, pairing and response when using bluetooth headphones is very good. The lack of support for Micro SD cards is a little annoying, but at the same time, if you go for the 512 GB or 1 TB model, it is difficult to imagine why you would need more device memory.

The amount of mistakes that come up on my S23 Ultra keyboard is always voluminous and it is frustrating and a time vampire to keep having to reread every 3 or 4 words to make corrections, and then having to reread what I type over and over to ensure the corrections are mistake free. probably made in excess of 100 corrections while typing this.I frigging hate this phone and get so frustrated, but the few phones with real keyboards on the market now are garbage.Plus I failed to mention I get terrible shooting pains and pins and needles in my fingers, hands and shoulders throughout the day, on a daily basis from having to touch this screen to write messages, or use the net. This phone would be awesome with a real keyboard. I really am so disgusted with this phone, but there isn't anything much different out there to resolve these daily anxiety producing issues.

Between these and things like office suites the ability to locate, review, and edit on the fly is crucial.I used to be an avid gamer and even played competitive gaming. While I never fell into the whole mobile gaming scene it's easy to realize this phone is bleeding edge and should have no issues for whatever is on today's market.I have over two decades of PC enthusiasts level builds under me and an IT background just as deep. I assure you I understand the specifications far better than the average user as someone who has even done SMD soldering as far back as the original Galaxy Note first gen.One of the great things about the new Ultra besides the reintroduction of the S-pen is its screen. Despite having the same screen sizes as it older siblings e.g. my Ultra 21 the aspect ratio is greatly improved giving the experience that one would think is a much larger screen.Viewing and navigating on one of the best screens available without upgrading to either Z-fold or a tablet has been pleasant and is much easier on the eyes. An excellent variety of refresh rates that can be combined with a large range of dimmable settings makes a difference on your eyes all day.Obviously the quality of a high definition screen is always enjoyable if you love to stream. Which is a good times to bring up the the audio quality. It's quite impressive how well the audio performs on speaker that's rich and full ranged audio spectrum.Howver connect your computer favorite peripheral audio devices and there's plethora of sound related possibilities fo streaming music to box office favorites.Samsung did a great job of reimagining the Galaxy series bringing back favorable features while improving on others. This is expected with it's flagship pricetag but it's leading competition isn't any cheaper in fact it's ore expensive.Sticking with the combination of Samsung and Android you really can't get a better wireless experience of solid communication, handheld entertainment, and your office in the palm of you hand with no shortage of peripheral devices to enhance the experience.Even the battery life has been improved on my opinion and so far I'm very pleased with this device as it's a huge part of both my work and personal daily routine. Oh and I use my camera every day, the quality is fantastic with plenty of configurable options!
