The sound quality also has little range but is typical with shallow bass and pitchy treble. When using Bluetooth, the phone is capable of supporting Dolby ATMOS and sounds great! Phone calls are very clear but can also be difficult to hear in noisy areas. The phone supports Wi-Fi calling but has frequently dropped connection in transition between cellular use. I do not recommend using Wi-Fi calling unless on a private network with high signal strength or in areas where cellular service is very poor. The cameras take very nice photos, and blur reduction works well for high motion images or shaky hands. I haven't taken any videos so I cannot comment on that.Overall I am very satisfied.

My recent experience at Walmart was nothing short of disappointing and frustrating. Upon arriving to pick up my new phone, I was greeted by an employee who, quite frankly, mishandled the product in a shockingly careless manner. As he brought out the phone, he throwed it onto the dolly with such force that it made me cringe. It was evident that he had little regard for the delicate nature of the item he was handling.Naturally, I voiced my concerns to the manager, who seemed apologetic and offered in the way of reassurance or replacing the product for a new one I didn't think that I would have to use my protection plan this fast. It's incredibly frustrating to spend hard-earned money on a product only to have it malfunction right out of the box due to mishandling by store staff!!!!!!!!!!Overall, this experience has left a sour taste in my mouth. I expected better from a reputable retailer like Walmart, and I'm deeply disappointed by the lack of care shown towards both the product and the customer. Moving forward, I hope Walmart takes steps to ensure their employees handle customer purchases with the respect and care they deserve. For now, I'll be wary of purchasing electronics from Walmart in the future.

This phone does ok or well on most things for its price, which is only $199. The phone's display has good quality with it having good detail and is smooth with how often the display refreshes and gets bright enough for the price, but not very bright. The battery is large enough to give at least most people an at least ok amount of time on the phone before it needs to be charged, for its price, but probably not the best for it. I've had the chance to be on the phone for 5 hours without charging it every time it's had 100%, and I've used it at the brightest the display could get every time. The phone can also be charged with a 15 watt charger, quick enough for its price. The software on the phone is good, with it having lots of useful features that can help with being able to use the basic things on the phone for people with problems, with being able to be smooth using the phone, doing things many phones just can't do, and making the look of different screen areas look the best for people with it looking ok compared to almost all others and being as smooth. The camera is good with it having good detail for most modes, including a night mode that seems to work well for its price, and a good amount of different modes that people can enjoy using, but the portrait mode is terrible and does not work. The processor is the only thing bad for its price, at least for others at its price with it making the phone warm, even when doing basic things, but fast before. It has 64 g of storage.

This phone does everything that a phone should do reliably, given that you take care of the device. It runs all day without charging, it's inputs are smooth, making it a mostly lag free experience. The biggest drawback is the change in how the apps use the interface, creating confusion for some users. With this device, there are times where the apps could benefit from a simple back button on screen, preventing the user from needing to exit the app to undo unwanted changes. For example, when a person accidently selects a contact, they are then stuck in the "select contacts" function and there are no obvious ways to exit without closing the app entirely. This selection of the contact can be done accidentally, but is not easily undone for say an older user. This lack of simplicity continues throughout the "settings" area of the phone, as there are many semi complex tabs within tabs there.Although there is probably some change to the user interface that makes these functions more intuitive for some, it is the biggest drawback noticed for a light user of the phone. Besides this, the phone is light, the screen is bright and this is well built device at this price point.
It's the best upgrade I could get without getting too expensive. Your next cheaper model apparently had issues that I wanted to avoid. This phone is bigger than I'd have preferred. - Samsung's One Ui update system is irritating; changing things, sometimes losing features (first update stopped the phone shifting from landscape to portrait, and I had to do a customer chatbot thing to figure out how to re-instate it). Notification settings, and similar features I had selected got altered too which was annoying. I needed a new phone to resolve memory/space issues which I suppose is a ubiquitous problem. (Or, really a built in obsolescence problem). I am very happy to have more space /memory but too many preloaded apps that are required, and can't be uninstalled, then ... MoreIt's the best upgrade I could get without getting too expensive. I am very happy to have more space /memory but too many preloaded apps that are required, and can't be uninstalled, then minimise the value of this extra space. Between unwanted Google apps (like meet), and unwanted Samsung apps (like gaming hub), large amounts of useless data is being stored, and memory taken up, and the phone can't be actually personalised to suit me the user.Otherwise, it has all the usual advantages of modern tech: communication flexibility, Internet access, and entertainment value. And, all the usual disadvantages of modern tech; being at the mercy of snoopy and intrusive multinational corporations.
Samsung has always been a dependable brand for me. Recently, I have had to make some forays into other choices for a smart phone due to unfavorable financial winds blowing in my life. Even with a less than flagship model, This A14 5G is ten times the comoanion any previous mid-priced device has been. NFC comes packed in with the fun and nothing but good showings all around it. Not as easy as one night suppose to pull off solid workmanship and design outside, along with the necessary tools like camera and display clear and beautiful. To be specific, I refused to buy any new phone that didn't have NFC, fingerprint scanner (that was not in plain sight), and expandable memory of at least 500 gigs, 64 Gb internal memory for today's larger apps. I get tired of lag on cheap phones and since i work on my phone daily, it needs to be capable. This A14 has hit the bar without selling my kidney to buy it. One thing that I had hoped for was a snapdragon chip to make it into a phone within budget, but alas it is still just a dream. Maybe next year when better faster makes them yesterdays gold standard and Samsung waives a magic wand. They shall appear. Honestly I've yet to decide if it would improve my phone enough to merit a week's pay. Last gripe is the dunking contest. I believe it's a minor cost to IP coat a board. Life is dependebly unkind. It wets the phones of those with budget devices who can least afford to buy a new one in a whim. Bravo on all but the lack of water resistance
Did not like the fact that my government funded assistance carrier is in the midst of phasing out At%26T and Verizon/T-mob.in. Now the upper tier-budget smart phones aren't compatible most times. My location is part of the problem as well, as some of the towers used by my provider are antiquated GSM technology. Throw in the fact that my provider no longer has AT%26T capabilities from the towers they used to, so they say...And its becoming quite a chore trying to upgrade, and I only attempt bi-annualy to feel somewhat technologically sound in this moving at the speed of light world. But, a bit of advice if you have service through a govt. assistance provider and are looking to upgrade, you may want to start up a de-stress regiment workout, followed by meditation classes, before you begin.Edit : also. I forgot to mention just because a phone says locked to a certain provider that previously handled your cellular service needs, it may change essentially pulling the rug from under your feet. Because they are having people trade out their phased out phones etc. etc. Then you have are my towers GMA/CDMA. So on. and So on. It can be a bit maddening tbh.

I always said I wouldn’t conform to the smartphone world as I've been using a TracFone- Flip Phone for over 34 yrs and have been extremely happy with it, it fit my needs. My cell phone is strictly an emergency phone with the occasional phone calls. Unfortunately due to Verizon, who couldn't take my approval verbally whilst working with me for 2 weeks on a problem that they created emailed a link to me for approval knowing I couldn't get online. Thankfully my neighbors let me use their wi-fi with my laptop. It's too hard to navigate the internet on a flip phone. So I was "forced" to buy a smartphone. Enough of my rant.I researched a lot of phones, I had a lot to learn. Decided to get the cheapest phone possible, since the phone would be "off" 95% of the time. Enough of my rant.I researched a lot of phones, I had a lot to learn. Decided to get the cheapest phone possible, since the phone would be "off" 95% of the time. I settled on the SG A14 5G, and QVC had the cheapest price of $59.99, with 1500 Data for a year and all the accessories I needed, the car charger is the best accessory. I've been working with it for over a week now learning where to find things, setting up my Home Screen with just the apps I want to use. It's a lot for someone so behind the 8-ball but I'm doing it. It's very responsive, nice clear bright screen. I downloaded my fav Firefox browser & ad blocker. Not hard to use, has a lot of stuff on it I will never use, screen resolution is really nice, easy to read. The speaker seems nice & clear enough for my use. Texting is something I have to get used to, my fingers aren't skinny. Although I have resigned myself to making peace with this phone it's a nice phone but it won't be used a lot. I do recommend it. It's become a necessary evil. LOL. I also added the $16.99 2 yr contract, I tend to drop things.QVC is a really great company to deal with, their customer service is really wonderful. They shipped fast and free!
pros:- headphone jack!!! im glad at least some companies arent cutting headphone jacks from their budget phones...- microsd card slot!!! hard to find on phones these days. yaaaaayyy!!! (although i wish i didnt need to eject the sim tray to access it...)- inexpensive, pretty good value- easy to repair!!! screen, headphone jack + charging port, and battery are easy to replace :3 though samsung doesnt sell replacement parts :(- battery life is great!! when i first got it a full charge would last 2 days, now it's only like one day but that's good enough for me. it does charge slow, but i think the battery life makes this excusable 👍 also the slow charging will preserve the lifespan of the battery- big screen makes it easier to type, also the screen looks ... Morepros:- headphone jack!!! im glad at least some companies arent cutting headphone jacks from their budget phones...- microsd card slot!!! hard to find on phones these days. yaaaaayyy!!!
