I purchased it, from a popular IT distributor in Romania, on 09-Oct-2022 and it sat in the original packaging (due to a concurrence of circumstances) until 02-Oct-2024. In the same order were also 2 USBs from SanDisk. The SanDisks have a 60 month warranty, the Samsung only has a 24 month warranty. Today, 18-Oct-2024 (ie 9 days after the warranty expires), the Samsung is no longer working. But SanDisks are used daily. Of course, I tried everything that could be tried from different tutorials on YT, but when I saw that even the PC with Ubuntu no longer recognizes it, the same story on Synology, I said that I learned a lesson about Samsung at the price of 170 of RON. The data transfer speeds were exactly what you'd expect from these specs. Don't get my wrong - the device did its job. My only complaint is aimed at its reliability, or better said: lack thereof. This isn't the only product from Samsung, that I've used, that fails eerily close to its warranty expiration date. Just saying.

I purchased several of these and they arrived yesterday. After trying them out on several different computers, both new and older, using USB 3.1 ports, and benchmarking using Samsung magician, I’m super disappointed. While I wasn’t expecting write speeds to be 400MB/s, (actual write speed 110MB/s) I was expecting sequential read speed to be 400MB/s. Well, it’s not even close. 250MB/s sequential read speed is the limit.. random reads are much slower. Note: the ‘performance’ driver option doesn’t help. 256GB purchased directly from Samsung. Magician says “genuine” “no compatibility issues”

This little guy is a speed demonits built like a tank, super resilientImagine transferring a large movie file. With a traditional USB drive, this could take several minutes, maybe even longer. But with the Samsung BAR Plus, it's a different story. It's like watching a file teleport from your computer to the drive.in addition to it being super fast apparently it's shock proof waterproof even x ray safe so if your like me in and out of the airports keeping this little guy on your key chain is still safe It's perfect for quickly backing up your stuff or moving files between your devices and xtreamly durable keeping your important files safe. So, if you're looking for a fast and stylish drive to store your stuff, this one's a solid choice.

Bought this back in March to upgrade from my lousy 8GB “vintage” flash drive that I used in high school. Realized it was time for an upgrade since that device was 10 years old. Safe to say, quite happy with this product. Copy speeds are lightning fast and I put videos/recordings on it and view it off of my monitor/tv, which is also super smooth. Easy to carry around and does not get that warm when in use. Gets super cold to touch when it’s colder but I’m not complaining lol. Highly recommend if you need an improvement as well.
I gave out 4 of them for Christmas presents to my son wife and mothern-IN-law. They couldn't believe I spent money on them and the look of disappointment on their faces, well I thought maybe I had missed my usual high mark with stocking stuffer tech gift. I tested this drive against some others and found it towards the middle of the pack in writes, about 60-65 MB/s sustained throughout. It read as advertised around 390-400 MB/s.Big props to Samsung for by far the least painful and least wasteful packaging. Way easier than the other brands to unpack, which is a plus if you are sending lots of drives out to clients or customers.I really like the color and material of the drive, but the weird obsession with lanyard loops went a little too far here, it makes the drive really impractical to ship as if you put this in a package, the big triangle will pop out. I wish they sold a version without the lanyard loop, or redesigned it to not pop out. However, I will admit it does make the drive really ergonomic to remove and ... I have been purchasing Samsung storage devices for a long time now, I have never come across one yet that has disappointed me, leaving any type of negative image for the manufacturer. This Drive in particular is solid in its weight, which is totally fine to me, cause at least I know it is made well and can take a beating. I have personally dropped my drive in water, and put it through the ringer multiple times, and it still has yet to fail me. I am tech-savvy, so I know that the advertised speeds will only run in the best scenarios with compatible devices or hardware. If you want a trustworthy drive, look no further. I use this for school and have another one I use to load operating systems on computers that are in constant use. All I can say is, in my experience, ... I bought this a couple years ago and the flexibility of being able to use USB a or USB c makes for the perfect companion when transferring files from my phone to the computer or from my phone to a friend's phone. Nowadays a lot of flagship phones don't have the micro SD card slot and as sad as that may be the ability to still use expandable storage externally makes up for it. From taking photos and videos in the summer and transferring them out of my phone to save space to being able to upload those photos and videos quickly onto my computer this has never let me down. I've even recommended others to get this since it's no regular USB storage device. It's a leap in tech that we didn't know we wanted until it arrived!
As with all their products, Samsung has outdone themselves again. This sleek little USB drive has remarkable transfer speeds that'll make you question, "Didn't I just click the button?" Transferring files really IS that fast Yes, moms! That includes Abigail's 3rd-grade play or George's High School football game you had to record from start to finish in 4k UHD quality. You can use it to back up files from your mobile phone and computer or transfer files between the two. Samsung raised the bar again with the resiliency of this sturdy USB drive. It's waterproof. So no fear of it getting ruined during a sudden downpour when you're walking into the office from your car while it dangles from your key ring. Oh ya, there's that option too! Meaning, no stress if you accidentally leave it in your car during a hot summer's day as well as on days with freezing temperatures. The reliability is something you can truly count on because regardless of the temperature it will perform the same every time. No more worries about losing data or sustaining damage because of magnets or X-rays. It's even shock-proof! Save your fright for something truly terrifying because dropping this Samsung drive won't hurt or damage it in the slightest. If you're looking for a USB drive that Is durable, with a trend-setting appearance, storage space of 128gbs and modern functionality then look no further because Samsung has met all your needs with this product. I highly recommend this.
I purchased this Samsung flash drive to replace the Tesla brand one I had. This is the same flash drive that Tesla uses but with the Samsung branding instead of the Tesla custom branding. I got a good price from B&H on this 256GB flash drive. It replaced the 128GB Tesla usb drive. This Samsung flash drive is made of metal and is very stylish. It is fairly small and has a slot for a keychain. So far it has worked very well with no problems. I even got an extra one for move files between computers. I like the small size and the large capacity at a very good price.
