Followed instructions exactly, and low and behold, it worked as it should have. To a point. The amount of water they recommend isn't quite enough, I'd go for 450ml. rather than 350ml or it dries out too much. Drain the remainder then put the lid on and leave it in the pan.Taste was excellent, stickiness ideal, worked great with a katsu sauce.

This sushi rice is very good and the price is very reasonable. You do need to add a little bit more water than some of other brands though.

I bought a few boxes of this rice when its on offer to try as it had good reviews. I didn't like it. Even for reduced price, I'll never buy this again. The fist time I cooked this, I didn't get a good result. So I increased the amount of water, soaked in water longer, added a little sake, but no matter what I did, it always came out awful. And I know my short grain rice. When short grain rice (what's referred as sushi rice in UK) is cooked properly, the result should be sticky and it should look shiny. This was not sticky and looked dull. It didn't even make a good onigiri I wonder how this dull rice could be made into sushi.

This is nowhere near sushi rice. The texture is just wrong and there's no amount of water that you can experiment with that would turn this into sushi rice. It actually tastes more like one of those easy cook long grain rice. As Asians we know our rice. This is misleading and arguably false advertising. Just wrong.
I cook sushi rice a lot and usually buy the higher grade one from Ocado (pink packet) when I cant get to a specialist shop. Bought this product in an economy drive. Despite lengthy washing, soaking etc it always comes out with a very poor texture. I cant see how anyone would make decent sushi with it.
I have eaten a lot of rice, for the past 39 years of my life. I have never had any rice like this. like wet paper. Wont buy it ever again!
Sticky rice is a must for curry meals as the sauce combined with the sweetness of the rice is da bomb dot com. Also works well for rice pudding. Now who doesnt love a multitasker?
My family loves this rice. As long as you follow instructions on the pack, it turns out great every time. We use it to make sushi and to serve with teriyaki salmon or chicken katsu curry. A regular purchase. Recommended.
Tried many times by adjusting the amount of water used to cook but still couldnt get the texture and taste/fragrance of sushi rice. Very disappointed.
I cooked exactly according the instruction on a package and it turned out perfect. It was so easy to roll sushi from it.
