I recently tried royal purple and valvoline 0w-20 and after going to valvoline once, I would never go back to it despite it being cheaper and had the same fuel saving quality. Royal purple gave my Mazda 3 2L engine a bit more accerleration or power to accerlerate compared to valvoline. This made driving a little more enjoyable and my car felt a little more sports like. You can experience this bit of accerleration throughout the life of the oil up to 7500 km mileage. After said 7500 km, you start to feel an decrease in accerleration and the oil will probably start to degrade requiring the next oil change. Premium oil, and makes driving more enjoyable for me, highly recommended.
