My family has a slightly overweight 7 year old cat. After a recent vet visit, they suggested trying a weight management type of food. We've felt that his previous food had not helped him feel "full" which has resulted to him eating more. We got some Royal Canin to try and to be honest, my husband and I were a little skeptical because our cat is extremely picky when it comes to his food! To our surprise, he LOVES it! He has been doing very well with it and we've noticed he's been eating less. This food has good quality ingredients packed with protein and fiber which makes him feel full faster. We haven't noticed a difference in his weight yet as it's still to early to see results, but we are very optimistic!

I got this a few weeks ago for my older, over-weight kitty. He usually doesn't care for the taste of Weight-Control varieties, but I thought I'd try this one. He loves the taste. So does my other "not so hefty" kitty. So they give Royal Canin Weight Care Cat food 5 Stars. I typically have to be careful changing to a new cat food because they tend to not tolerate new foods very well. I didn't notice this with the Royal Canin. No issues at all. I feel good giving this food to my 14 year old male cat with the hopes that it will help control his overweight issue.

Finding this could not have came at a better time. My youngest cat has always been a little chubby but its hard to tell because she is so fluffy. Until this last time we took her to the vet for routine visit and the vet said she was overweight and suggested we try to get her to lose some weight. A friend recommended this food brand to us and we tried it and it works! She didn't love the taste at first but she loves it now and she is a very picky cat. I highly recommend for anyone with a chubby or overweight cat. She has already lost a couple of pounds!

I have a picky eater named Loki. He's a rehomed kitty who has a history of UTI issues. Recently, he had a full urinary blockage and required the emergency vet along with a lengthy stay at his regular vet. He was a very, very sick boy. When he was released to come home, our vet recommended a prescription cat food. However, I wasn't able to get it right away. The vet said that the next best thing would be this product from Royal Canin since my big boy (that we call "the large potato") needed to also lose some weight. He isn't a fan of most cat foods right away, but he loved this one as soon as he was fed. He only ate part of the bag since we had to change him to the prescription food, but it was 100% worth it. He's already losing some weight, too!!!
I have to put my cat on a weight reduction diet because he is getting to be a big boy. My vet gave me some of this brand in cans, and he loved it so much that I bought it both in dry and canned. I am getting the canned Ultra Light and this dry food. The food specialist at the vet said it would be fine to have both since I'm not feeding a lot of the canned. He actually loves Royal Canin more than the higher priced adult canned food I have been giving him for years. When I opened the bag of dry food, he stuck his head in the bag before I had a chance to pour it out into his dish! I'm relieved that he loves this so much. His weight was starting to worry me and I didn't want him having joint problems or diabetes. When I adopted him from a Petco store, he was already a naturally big cat at 14lbs but he has gained weight since then, so I started trying other weight management foods, but he loves this brand the most!
I discovered that my cat will eat this weight management kibble while visiting my mom. My kitty kept stealing it out of her kitty's bowl. So when I returned home, I bought a bag and my chonker still eats it. It wasn't just her trying to steal from her competition. Yeah, it's a premium brand, so it's expensive, but, I'm hoping it will help her slim down a tad. Besides, she's worth it.
I have had my cats on this since 2005 when it was called Indoor Light 40. About a year ago, they changed it to just Light and I thought they had quit making it! Fortunately, they only changed the name and nothing about the formula which made not only me happy, but my cats as well! My boy cat had a urinary blockage with crystals back in 2005 and my vet recommended I change his food to a more healthy and fulfilling brand. I chose Royal Canin based on the reviews and have never looked back! When my girl cat joined the family, she had no choice but to eat it but she loves it as well! They both run to their bowls when they hear me filling them up and always seem so happy while eating. While the cost of a bag may deter some people, I actually notice that my cats eat less at a time due to having high quality ingredients in the food which keeps them fuller longer on less rather than food that has a lot of fillers. So, your money goes further buying more expensive! Give it a try - your cats will love you!
I have an older indoor cat. Hes almost 9 and has been struggling to maintaine weight. I had tried other foods but finding a appetizing food that he'll eat and not complain about was not easy. Until we tried royal canine weight care dry cat food. Immediately my big guy was intrigued. He is now eating with less complaints then he did with his old food. In the time he's had it we haven't had issues with hair balls or upset stomach. He's been in happy with his full tummy.
Royal Canin was the first food I got my cat hooked on when she came home from the shelter, and it did wonders for her coat - she got twice as fluffy and her fur shines. After some allergy concerns I switched her to Blue Buffalo grain-free for a while (weight control formula because she was a little chubby) and she gained a bunch of weight. The vet said to take her off Blue Buffalo so I put her back on Royal Canin (having determined she wasn't allergic to the ingredients) and she's done great on it. She's been losing weight gradually, which is the healthy way to do it, and the vet is happy. She's happy too - she won't eat any other dry food now!
Every year our cats like to spend more time in the house during the winter so naturally they are not as active. They usually put on a few pounds and then shed it once it warms up in the spring and they play outside. I know this isn't good for their overall health and life span so I thought I would try some weight management food. This brand puts lots of fiber into their food so they feel more full and eat less overall. I also love that it comes with a weight chart and then breaks it down into low and normal energy needs so you know just how many cups to feed your cat! As far as flavor goes, my 2 seem to love it! They eat it up just like their normal brand. The guarantee is weight loss over a period of 2 months so we will see!
