Positives: Top quality build. Setup and take down is simple and fast, compacts to a very small size. The pivoting front wheel makes the cart very agile. Negitives: Securing the club bag at a more upright angle would be nice, less interference with top tray and smoother club replacement. The standard cup holder is too small and will not accommodate a tumbler or huggie. A replacement optional larger cup holder is available. Environmental responsibility?

At first, the cart seemed well designed, but it soon proved inaccurate. The front wheel is situated too close to the cart frame. Wet grass clippings cling to the wheel and accumulate until the wheel stops rolling. If the ground is too bumpy, the front wheel, (while unlocked to swivel), will wobble from side to side and often catches sideways. If you are not careful, the cart will stop suddenly and you get the handle in the abdomen. My cart did this once too often. The last time was so bad that the wheel broke off at the spokes. It has been sent to recycle. Save your money.

Bought this buggy as I wanted something light, durable but most importantly … easy to manuever. The ability to unlock the direction of the small wheel is a godsend as it lets you use the buggy like a shopping cart. The RV1S also folds easily & fits easily into any car, even a smaller car. Happy with my purchase.
It’s perfect buggy for who is looking for value for money product! Very compact and light. It fits to car with small space in the boots. Easy to pull out. Swivel wheel can be locked if needed (when it is parked on the heel near green.
Bought the RV1S to replace my olde Smoothy buggy that is still ok but takes a lot of room up in the back of the car. The RV1S is solidly built & collapses down to a size that can stay in the car or it fit neatly behind the front door. A little complicated to collapse & transform up again and I caught my finger the first time (it hurt lots but I bravely held back the tears). On the course its awesome & the swivel makes any manoeuvre into a tight spot near the bar a breeze.
I initially bought the Clicgear 3.5+ based on reviews, got it home, practiced putting it together and breaking it down and just had an uncomfortable feeling. I tried the RV1S in the store before going with the "consensus" pick but it was massive and the size of the 3.5+ just bothered me. It was well put together, but almost "tank like" and I didn't understand why I needed something so substantial.I tried to find online comparisons of the two push carts, but really couldn't find many, perhaps because Clicgear makes them both. Enter the RV1S ("S stands for swivel wheel). I could not be happier with my revised choice. The RV1S is every bit the equal of the other other card and for me it's better. Enter the RV1S ("S stands for swivel wheel). I could not be happier with my revised choice. The RV1S is every bit the equal of the other other card and for me it's better. It is smaller to begin with and by smaller, I mean when built (they are both functionally the same size when fully folded up). Part of this is the smaller, swivel wheel, which worries so many of the online reviewers. I love it. It doesn't feel like I am pushing a tank down the fairwai and while I thought the swivel wheel was a joke before I got mine, I now know it's not and I absolutely love it. So much, in fact, that I wouldn't buy a cart without it. It makes "one handed" driving a dream. It's easy to turn directions and push it in the rough and fairway with one hand, leaving my other hand to swing (my Garmin S20) so I get an accurate step count.I find no issues pushing it in the rough as others have said. Sure, I keep the the cart path when I can, because there is even less rolling resistance, but even in CA after a drenching season of rain, the lush rough we have is no problem. What I love about my Rovic is that they thought of everything. It is far easier to put down and take up than the 3.5+ There's no handles to loosen and re-crank. It's 3 steps like the 3.5+ but two of the 3 steps are pushing buttons. You fold in the smaller swivel wheel, push an button and pull it up (or push it down) and then fasten a lever to set and hold the handle. Piece of cake. The lever for the swivel is easily placed and easy to use. I "lock" the wheel in place when I want to push the cart ahead of me or down a hill, so I can feel like a tour player walking behind a caddie. The foot break is nicely placed and easy to toe up or down, though honestly, you don't really need one. I stopped using it most of the time, opting to just park it sideways when I can. In a few situations, I need it, and it's nice to have. When I said they thought of everything they have. I just found the little straps on the top of the glove box where you put your score card and pencil. Nice touch. I bought the XL cup holder to hang off the other side so I can have a Bloody Mary on one side and my water bottle on the other. Other attachments I puchased is the brush for your shoes, a nice little addition. Clips on to the left side support stut and is far far better than the tired, non-usable ones you see at the golf course.Durability? We will have to see. This is my first cart, and I'm loving walking 6-8 miles while I play. Sure, I'm more tired than I used to be, but it feels so much better not driving up to a ball and whacking it 85-100 times. It's a good tired.Summary:Pluses: size, swivel, build quality, attachments.Minuses: none yet.
Great buggy, except for the bottom one piece rubber strap that goes around the base of your golf bag. Should have been a 2 piece design with fasteners as it’s a nightmare to get on. And the ball holder gets in the way of the sand bucket, but I’ll take that off seeing I don’t use it anyway.
The Clicgear/Rovic RV15 Push Cart was shipped fast and received well packed and protected. I was a little concerned about too many “whistles and bells†with it being a new version. To me, more parts, options, etc. just means more things to fix or replace in time. I was very happy upon setting up my push cart, that it is minimalistic in design and features. It includes a generous storage area up top that will fit your gps, phone, keys, etc., The lid has a place for your scorecard and pencil. There is an umbrella holder, a bottle holder, and a clamp unit for storing 3 gold balls (I’ll probably remove this). The portability is awesome. There is an umbrella holder, a bottle holder, and a clamp unit for storing 3 gold balls (I’ll probably remove this). The portability is awesome. About a third of the size of my 10 year old sun mountain push cart.Set up and break down is easy - even though just a bit “clumsy.†You only need 3 steps: The handle lever, the base button, the front wheel button, fold it up and you’re good to go.A nice feature is the option to adjust the cart balance. After you set it up - including your bag w/clubs, you may find the cart “favors†the left or right. With a simple adjustment - you can straighten it out.The front wheel has a swivel or locked option. I’m still getting used to the cart but find that the locked option is best for on grass and the swivel option is best for on pavement or cart path. The swivel front wheel is a bit “squirrely†for my preference, but it works the way it’s supposed to. The locked position is needed when you really want to “launch†the cart - you know, kind of shove it down the fairway 15-20 yards? My old cart would run 25-30 yards. But with the new molded thick wheels on the new model, it won’t “take off†like the older spoke wheels.Overall I rate it a 4 because it does the job, has a compact design when folded up, is simple and clean in design and concept, and it is definitely a “head-turner†with its tubular frame, sleek style, and bold wheels... people were going out of their way to say; that’s so cool, where did you get that?â€My only hesitation to not give it a full 5 stars is the front swivel wheel seems a little too loosey-goosey for me (but maybe that’s how it should be or it can be adjusted), and the bag installation process is a bit of a hassle. While the top strap just gets pulled around the bag and easily attaches to a “hook†on the opposite side, the bottom strap is “attached†on both sides, forcing you to bend over, pull up on your bag, pull the strap under, then up and around the bag. Not sure why they just didn’t use the same strap concept for the bottom as they did for the top strap.Bottom Line: “SWEET†PUSH CART! And it seems well built for many hundreds of rounds of golf... if you love to walk the course, why not do it with a great cart and some added “cool†factor?
Although this cart is well made and the swivel front wheel is in my opinion a must for easy maneuvering, the claim that it will fit most Cart bags is a stretch of the imagination. Even with its own ClicGear brand. The saddle arms that cradle a golf bag are too narrow, not allowing the bag to sit completely and fully in the cradle. I have a ClicGear bag and it sits high and insecurely in the saddles. Amusing given that my best friend has a ClicGear cart that has a wider saddle design that allows my bag to nestle properly in those saddles. Difficult to understand how a company can design a cart that doesn't even fit its own brand of bag. Also my attempt to reach out to ClicGear was met with no response. 3 stars awarded for the quality of materials.
